Exploring the shipwreck "Manic II"
One of the very few interesting places in the suburbian city Repentigny is the shipwreck of Manic II, a small vessel which was abandoned on the shore of St-Lawrence river, near the Parc de l'Île Lebel at Repentigny, near the city of Montreal.

The boat was apparently used for drug trafficking in the 1970's, and was later abandoned at a marina, were it went adrift. It was one of the first boat made mostly of cement and iron. (See article in french [here](https://www.pressreader.com/canada/le-journal-de-montreal/20140123/281762742123045))

It's usually hard to get near it because there's about 0.5 meter of water around it, but when the river freezes in winter there is the opportunity to explore it. Which I did a few years ago. It was an exciting and strange experience, to be inside a completely derelict thing of the past. It makes one reflect on transience.

These are the photos I took, mostly with my fish-eye lens. The photos are not great, it was a long time ago, during the season when I bought my camera and began doing photography. Maybe I'll go back this winter!
