If you are new to Steem then make sure you read this post. Even if you are a Steem vet I am sure you guys did the same thing. The one thing I did was powering down my SP too soon. It would be nice to power down your SP and go shopping. You should hold on to it. Your SP does control how much you give someone when you vote them or how much you subtract when you downvote them.

  I should have let my SP build up.  Kinda treat your SP like your 'savings' in a way. Let it build up. Then if you face a revenue dip (most likely the Steem price will fluctuate) you will still have something to collect if it comes down to it. I am speaking letting your SP get in the thousands.  I am sure for most of you Steemit and other crypto sites pay your bills.  Matter of fact when I first joined a guy quit his day job for Steem. BUT I am sure he made sure his revenue was constant for X amount of time before he quit his day job and he used more than one site in case he faced a revenue dip on Steemit.

You guys will see some reposts. As you all know, the minnow support team made a site called Palnet.io and I have to use the tag for posts to appear on Steem and Pal. So when I post to Steem, D.Tube, etc it goes to pal if the tag is used. Just letting everyone know. 

Which is why I say to just let your SP build.  Say you decided you had enough of Steemit and leave, you will have a final payment to collect like quitting a regular job.
