<p>Today I made a trip to the mountain overlooking Bogotá called Monserrate. </p>

<p>It is one of the most popular sights of Bogotá with a great view of Colombia's capital. You go up there either by a train called<em> funicular </em>or by cable car, but that one was closed today.</p>

<p>Montserrate is also a popular destinaton for pilgrims. Some of them climb all the way up to the church of <em>El Señor Caído</em> ("The Fallen Lord"). </p>

<p>Metal sculptures show the stations of the cross of Jesus Christ. </p>

<p>The sign in the back in the following picture says "Keep this space tidy". So corpses should be removed.</p>

<p>Monserrate is definitely worth a visit. On my last visit to Bogotá in December it rained a lot so I could not go. I am glad I made it this time.</p>
