# <center> Time to Power Up People </center> #  Yep, It's that time again believe it or not,as we leave 2022 behind and usher in 2023. Here is hoping that it is a whole lot more Bullish and less Bearish than 2022, which we could all do with forgetting quickly. Regardless of the Bear market though, I continue to post, interact and grow. I've seen more gains across my hive, Leo and other layer 2 holdings such as #SportsTalkSocial #VerfiyYourBrian #Proof of brain to name a few, which is always heartening even if their value is falling in the short term. The beauty of Hive is, you don't have to invest any hard earned Fiat, <sub> although I would advise that you do invest some FIAT, to accelerate your progress!! </sub> At times I wish that I had in those early days, as it has been a long journey for me, but my account has grown up from 100% organic growth from nothing other than around 10 or 15 delegated HP to get me going. But hey, I don't have a time machine, so I am where I am, and happy to be growing. # <center> Last PUD month comparison </center> # Each month, that I do a HPUD, I like to take stock and have a look over my shoulder back into the rearview mirror to see where I've come from, so let's do that right now. I was on 8158 hive power on December 1st. Today, I'm at 8,675 hive power one month later which is a gain of 6.3% which I'm delighted with! That is down from 9% and back towards my October and November rates of 6.6% and 5.8% respectively, but I am trending well and any gain is good. 6.3% is especially good when you consider that I eased off in December and did not post nearly as often as I normally do. This is what I am trying to explain as best I can - now is a brilliant time to grow. Bear markets are a great time to grow if you are brave and you believe. I had an aim to see how many months in 2022 I could achieve 10% growth or more. I managed it for most months, but as I grow it gets harder to sustain, and I could not have done much more these past three months, as I posted every day in September, October and November and spent lots of time engaging and growing #threetunetuesday to what it is today, with twenty or thirty people posting to it most weeks, which is amazing. I had a target of 10K for this year and to be honest it was a lofty target seeing as I started not much over 2K HP, so I am still thrilled with how 2023 went. My reputation also continues to grow as well and I am now up to 71.59. That is an increase of 0.24 again, which is a great accomplishment given that it gets harder and harder to grow this number the higher it gets. # <center> You are an early adopter </center> #  Yep, I'm back with this old chestnut again. You were waiting for it weren't you? Every month for Hive Power Up Day, I mention it. Brace yourselves - here it comes again - remind yourself that you are an early adopter in a transformative potentially game changing industry. Blockchain is going to be huge. You are here before the masses. You are a visionary. It is only a matter of time before many more look to follow in your footsteps. Imagine investing in internet stocks in the early days, the likes of Google, Amazon or Facebook. How many of your friends and family know what you are talking about when you mention Crypto, blockchain, leverage, dao, hive etc, I'm guessing not many, sure some might have heard of Cryptocurrency, but are they using it daily like we do here while building a holding? Take advantage of your early adopter status. Up your game. Post only quality content. Engage with others on the eco system and watch as you flourish. As time passes, you will start hearing more friends, families and randomers talking about Crypto currencies, asking questions about blockchain and taking their first tentative steps into the investment waters? I think more and more people will get involved in the coming years, especially the younger demographic who are already tech savvy and tuned into transformative digital technologies and integration. Those of us with surplus time and surplus money have a real opportunity at the moment to turn that surplus into profit. # <center> Some Growth graphs </center> # Here are two growth graphs that show my curation returns for November and my Hive Power growth for November. No prizes for guessing what day of the week those curation spikes are on!! Yep Tuesday for #Threetunetuesday where I give a full upvote to every contestant.   I love seeing these graphs, as it really gives you an idea of where you came from, so with that in mind, let's check out my graph for Hive Power since January 2022, it makes for mighty fine viewing from my perspective. I can see that at the start of 2022, I was at 2289 HP and now I am over 8675 HP which is 278% organic growth for the year which is insane. I would be curious to see how many accounts grew organically by more?  Right, give me a minute, I just want to sit and stare at this graph for a while! That is serious growth and I must say I am very proud of it. # <center> Power Up Day December 2022 </center> # I am proud to say that this is my nineteenth PUD. It's a good way of showcasing the importance of powering up and staking what you have in the Crypto space in order to put your earnings to work and compound with even more earnings. Another bonus for me is that it gives me a timestamp that I can easily refer back to in order to track my growth here on the platform. ## These were the criteria for Hive PUD: # • Your reputation must be above 39 and below 70. **I am now 71.59 so don't qualify for main prizes** • Your total Hive Power (before the 1st) must be more than 100 and less than 8000. **My total hive power before 1st was 8635 HP so again I don't qualify** • You must power up at least 10 Hive on December 1st. **I have just powered up 29 Hive bringing up to 8675 Hive Power overall** • You must write a post about your power up on December 1st with the tag #HivePUD (International) or #HPUD (Spanish). **This is my post about the power up** # <center> Proof </center> # <center>**Before Power Up** </center>  <center>**Power Up** </center>  <center>**After Power Up** </center>  Thanks to @traciyork for this cool Hive Power Up Day contest and thanks to @streetstyle for the great idea formed way back in 2019! # <center> Setting a target for 2023 </center> # Well my first target is to finally reach 10,000 Hive Power, which I would be hopeful that I can do by March, and after that, **I would like 2023 to be the year that I surpass 20,000 Hive Power** Yes it is a lofty target, but why not and my curation will be worth more and more as I pass 10,000 Hive Power and the 3% per annum interest on 10,000 is 300 straight off the bat, so there is 300 in the bag straight away.
