# Power up Day Another months bites the dust, and my Crypto stacks keep accumulating. My philosophy is to take nothing out, re-invest the gains. Rinse and repeat. Initially the returns are slow, especially when you start from scratch like I did here on Hive. However, if you knuckle down and post quality every day or as often as you can, then slowly you move from 10s of Hive power to 100s of Hive power. That initial step and moving from 100s to 1000+ is slow and can at times be demotivating, but those who keep the faith and stay committed will gain followers and people who upvote them regularly. The most important thing though is to not become lazy and post rubbish short posts witg no value. That will be sniffed out quickly and all your work to that point will have been in vain. Patience is the name of the game and you will eventually be noticed and find those with common interests. # Little steps and Patience # My next major milestone will be crossing the line of 5 figure Hive Power. I thought that was well beyond me only 6 months ago, but since then I've put loads of time and effort into Hive and I'm reaping the benefits now with progressive and sustained growth. Realistically my target of 10,000 Hive Power is some way off and I'm probably looking at June or July 2022. Just having that target though is exciting for me and I'll break it down into mini steps and celebrate every 1000 barier I break through at 3000, 4000, 5000 and all the way to 10,000. Something that I've noticed as my Hive Power has grown is the relative strength of my own curation and my ability to help others grow. That helps them grow, but is not 100% philanthropic either, as I also share in the weekly payouts of the posts that I choose to curate, making it a wonderful win\win situation for them, me and the Hive platform overall. # The Great Hive and Leo Adventure # The rollercoaster life of Cryptocurrency and it's peaks and valleys still continues on its merry way. It's predictable for those of us who have been around the Crypto circle for a while and we all know that ups will follow downs and downs will follow ups, as sure as night follows day. A few months back on PUD I said: > It's been an excellent few months across the Crypto eco system since my last power up. Then last month I said: > Well one month later and it's quite the opposite, as people's portfolios tumble and bad news stories about China banning Cryptocurrencies circulate and then recirculate, often conflated on the way around again. Now it's come around full circle and things are looking up once again. For me regardless of where we are in this cycle, we should knuckle down and buy some dips or work hard to earn more on Hive and Leo Finance. When I think of the hundreds and thousands of hours that people have dedicated to discussion forums in the past for zero pay, hive seems like some sort of magic alchemy, and guess what? Very few have heard about it yet, just mention it to work mates, friends or family and you'll see for yourself. The people who have made the most here are those who kept the faith through previous market declines and kept working away for what appeared to be diminishing returns. In the end the returns came and proved to be extremely lucrative to those patient ones. Whales were molded, dolphins were forged and those you see with 5 and 6 figure Hive Power were working their asses off during those previous lows. Now is your chance to emulate them with dedication and hard work. The opportunities are there for us all, but you've got to go get them, because they're not going to come and get you. # That time again # Its the 1st of the month again! November again! What the actual fuck! Them weeks and months just keep trundling by! As time whsitles by just remember to contribute valuable posts and keep eatning. It won't always be this easy to generate and earn Hive. The more people who join, the less rewards there will be to go around, which will also push the value of Hive northwards. $1 Hive looks quite visible nownon the horizon, so why not $2 Hive and beyond? When you consider the surges on other coins and Crypto, it's not only plausible, but it probable. # Noobs # For any newbies reading this post, the beauty of Hive is, you don't have to invest any hard earned Fiat, although I would advise it to speed up your growth. I wish I did just that, as it has been a long journey for me, but my account has grown up from 100% organic growth from nothing, and also, I've never taken out anything to date, nor do I intend to any time soon. I want my Hive and Leo to continue to grow and the bigger the stack, the quicker the growth. I've been fortunate enough to attract the ongoing support of many great people here on Hive who have allowed me to continue to grow. Sincerest thanks to you all. # Power it up # I don't even have to think about it. It's always a no brainer for me to power up my Hive. When my HBD rewards mature, I convert it to Hive and then power it up. Whenever you can, compound your gains. Do you really need that $10, $20, $200 or whatever you're withdrawing? Why not put it to work instead and see it grow and prosper. Now of course, there are those who simply must withdraw funds for food or emergencies, but if it is for something trivial, maybe just leave it where it is and if you keep doing the same, you'll be amazed at how growth can take hold. As your account grows then, you will notice that your curation rewards start to blossom as well, as I mentioned earlier. # Last PUD month comparison # I was on 2142 hive power on October 1st. Now I'm at 2433 hive power one month later which is a gain of 13.4% which is really good, and is exactly the same as last months gains, well out by 0.1%... How long can I maintain double digit monthly growth for? I'll keep it going for as long as I can. I'm slowly closing in my next mini target of 3000HP, which I hope to reach by mid December. My reputation continues to grow as well and has gone from 65.9 to 66.7 in one month which I'm thrilled with. That's an amazing transformation for me and thanks a million for all those who have supported me in my journey so far. You know who you are. # Power Up Day September 2021 # This is my sixth PUD. It's a good way of showcasing the importance of powering up and staking what you have in the Cyrpto space in order to put your earnings to work and compound with even more earnings. Another bonus for me is that it gives me a timestamp that I can easily refer back to. ## These were the criteria for Hive PUD: # • Your reputation must be above 39 and below 70. **I meet this one with a reputation of 66.7** • Your total Hive Power (before the 1st) must be more than 100 and less than 8000. **My total hive power before 1st was 2433 HP** • You must power up at least 10 Hive on April 1st. **I have just powered up 106.524 Hive bringing up to 2433 Hive Power overall** • You must write a post about your power up on September 1st with the tag #HivePUD (International) or #HPUD (Spanish). **This is my post about the power up** # Proof # Thanks to @traciyork for this cool Hive Power Up Day contest and thanks to @streetstyle for the great idea formed way back in 2019! *The images used are not my own and were sourced here:* https://pixabay.com/ # Thanks for taking the time to read my musings.
