Ever since the launch of artificial intelligence, I got to find out that things became easier than before. Imagine you wanting to place a call and instead of having your phone to do that, you can say *Hey Siri, call Alexis*. Life is now as simple as that and with my little knowledge, I feel we all enjoy the existence of artificial intelligence. 

Artificial intelligence is good and was created to ease the stress and activities of humans by performing tasks that requires our intelligence.

For instance, if I want to unlock my phone, instead of typing my password, I can easily show my face to the camera and I’ll gain access to my phone. It already saved me the stress of putting my password. 
In a nutshell, the creation of artificial intelligence is good. 

It doesn’t stop there. A plagiarism checker is as a result of artificial intelligence. How do you think I will be able to find out if an article was copied and pasted? It’s through the AI and it exposes evil acts down to cybersecurity. As for cybersecurity, AI will be used to detect dubious activities online. 

With all of these, I can say that the AI is making a big impact on humanity as a whole especially in the digital space. Gone are the days when you have to tell someone from another country to translate their language to English, now, the AI will do that successfully without the intervention of man. Nowadays, artificial intelligence is our go to problem solver. It solves our digital problems swiftly.

How about the side effects? I mean, the negative effects. As good as the AI is, it has its effects too. As humans, we are opportunists and we always want to take a large advantage of whatever comes our way. 

Do you know that some cyber scammers are using the AI to get people’s informations online for bad purpose? Why do you think people withdraw money from other people’s accounts without their consent? That’s because they have channeled the AI to do something different from its main and good purpose. 

How about job displacement? Aside from the digital world, take a look at humanoid robots. They act exactly as humans even though they will never get that fully. Some malls are employing more of AI even than humans. So, a situation like this may be alarming and something we should look into before it replaces us in our job places.

Above all, our dependence on it matters a lot. AI has made things easy for us to the point that we can’t go a day without its usage. Gradually, we are getting used to it and fully depending on it. There may be a problem. Once we get to the point where we rely too much on it, there comes the problem. 

We all know how good artificial intelligence can be but has its flaws so it depends on the way we all manage it so it doesn’t have us completely.
