Maybe Not My Niche

So today I ran into another problem. It might not be a problem to a lot of you, but it is what it is. So as a computer science student it is really expected of me to already have it figured out about web development and application developments. But the reality is I haven't. I went the other way. I concentrated my interests in artificial intelligence. And since I decided that I started working on different machine learning projects and AI model projects. And in those times I gained experience about the development of these and I have some things figured out when it comes to that particular field. And this is where the problem arises. That I have no interest in web application development.

It is true that web app development is still a very good field to pursue. But at the same time it is relatively saturated. There are a lot of good developers already on the market. And there are a lot more getting into the market so I believe that the competition is just too high. While at the same time, learning web development from scratch is a bit hard now for me because there are just too many things and AI can do just too much of the work for me to actually learn with some interest. Whenever I start, I somehow get lost between packages and frameworks. Often struggling to decide which one to choose or which one is better. And whenever I think of doing a career in this field I just see a new AI popping up and the creators of it are saying that it can do everything. You don't need to do anything. This is where my confidence breaks. Cuz if AI is so capable so early compared to my timeline then by the time I finish mastering the stuff AI will be a lot more capable. And I probably will never catch up to it. These are the main reasons that stir me away from web application developments and more towards artificial intelligence because in this field I am trying to master this new beast instead of trying to beat it.

But that's just me. Probably some incompetent programmer in a corner of the world. Yapping about how AI is taking over. But that shouldn't be you. I'm sure you have the capability to do a lot better than me in this field. I just never mustered up the confidence to do it.
