I just stumbled upon [this pic](https://twitter.com/BTC_Archive/status/1501283710724886533/photo/1) on twitter coming from Bitcoin Archive, an account I would definitely encourage you to follow. As you can see, the narrative telling that Bitcoin might become a reserve currency or an exchange currency in the years to come is becoming more and more vibrant.

Ukraine for example has benefited from Bitcoin since the early days of the war, Canada truckers have gone through the same experience. Bitcoin might become a risk-off asset after all.

I don't know if you have noticed, but since the pandemic started we're actually living in a world of sanctions. Sanctions coming from private companies to their clients, from the government towards the individuals and, between countries as well. 

America is sanctioning Russia, Russia is sanctioning protesters, Canada sanctioned truckers, plenty of governments around the world sanctioned their citizens through all sort of idiotic covid measures and "sanctions" and so on...

We sanction each other through downvotes, muting, blocks and whatever, on social media. The unrest is palpable and it's not Russia to be blamed, or covid, it was simply here for decades and it has now gotten to a point of eruption. 

*When money will never be the same...*

Is anything going to be the same? 

Definitely not... I hope the plans of the elites will fail, but I have thrown away the idea that the world will ever be the same. To some extent being in crypto is going to benefit one, but at the same time we won't be having that freedom and that joy of life we used to have...

We're all gonna be some sort of investors at some point, as Austrians were back in 1918-1920 when holding to their currency was a high risk decision. It doesn't have to necessarily be stocks, gold, bitcoin or real estate. We now have NFTs, blockchain games, metaverse shit and so on...

The idea is that we are already witnessing a contraction of our past living. A tank of gas is worth more with almost each passing day, commodities of all sort are following suit, and sooner than later we might have a recession. This thing won't hold up forever. Paychecks won't be able to cover our spending for too long.

Hence, we become investors, some better and some not that good. The idea is that nothing is going to ever be the same. Forget 2020 and what we've had before, it's not coming back. Get used with the idea of CBDCs, virtual assets and metaverses, a ripped off sense of ownership and probably it's time to embrace the "not owning anything and be happy" narrative.

Or not... Being in crypto right now is being on the right side of history imo. Hard to predict the future, but it's hard to believe we will ever get back our 2019-2020 purchasing power and inflations level, and it's hard to believe that fossil fuels are ever going to be that cheap as they were a few years ago and that highly used. 

Not many will afford to drive EVs and put money into virtual assets, increasing their wealth, thus the idea of UBI is no longer out of the equation. Nothing is going to be the same, but that doesn't mean it's all doom and gloom.
