## Hunter's comment
Created to make transactions cheaper and faster the Lightning network is a second layer of Bitcoin's blockchain which was able to successfully sustain micro-transactions of just a few dollars, according to tests. Exactly what [Rui Gomes](https://twitter.com/ruigomeseu) needed to make his blockchain based roulette that let's you play your SATOSHIS and why not win some...

With 10,647 spins at the moment of writing the post and 5.6M+ SATOSHIS that have already been paid to lucky roulette fanatics or simply curious blockchain enthusiasts the roulette might be an important step for a future blockchain based casino world that starts to "lighten" at the horizon.

At the bottom of the page there is a list of the last 10 spins with wagers, targets, results, profits and the country where the players are betting from.

**How does it work?**

You just have to have a a wallet that support the Lightning network(like [Eclair](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=fr.acinq.eclair.wallet&hl=en) for example), enter the Lightning Spin [website](https://www.lightningspin.com/faq), pay for your spins with your wallet, choose your *desired wager* and your target multiplier and then you know...hit spin. And that's all.

You can choose wagers available between 1000 and 100,000 SATOSHIS and you also have 2X, 3X and 5X multipliers available on the "virtual table". The maximum wager might vary though depending on the house's liquidity, but according to the website it's 100,000 SATOSHIS.

**How do you withdraw?**

>As soon as you have a positive balance, you will see the "Withdraw" button.
Withdrawing your earnings from Lightning Spin is free and instantaneous by leveraging the power of the Lightning Network.
Simply enter a Lightning Payment Request for the amount you want to withdraw and you're all set!
-extract from the Lightning Spin FAQ

**About trust and odds...**

Lightning Spin uses simple cryptography ensuring each spin being mathematically fair and offers also the possibility of verifying the spin's fairness by any third party. The app has also embedded in itself the *Provably Fair* window that can validate players spins using a *a state of the art provably fair system*. About the odds of winning with the Lightning Spin roulette, according to its website, it has a house edge of under 3% so it's not that much, but if you're feeling lucky and have a thing for casinos you can spend a few "bucks" on it and test how a blockchain based roulette works.

Good Luck!
