To promote Leo Threads within our Liotes community, the Leo team delegated quite a significant amount of LEO tokens to our curation account. 

For us it was a win-win. On one hand we could reward our community members for using threads and on the other side it gave a lot of visibility to the Liotes project within threads. This deal that was brokered by @idiosyncratic1 and @anomadsoul at the end of February was a big success...

## Since February the Liotes tag was almost always within the top trending tags used on threads
Sometimes we were a bit lower in the ranking of the trending tags but lately we are back in the top 8 tags on threads. For a small community like Liotes, this is quite impressive. We were however not the only community that received such a delegation.

## What did we do differently from the other communities?
When people use the #liotes tag we upvote their thread. Once a day, @ph1102 and myself go through all the threads with the #liotes tag and we upvote them. We don't give a systematic upvote but try to even the votes out among the people who used the tag and also try to give votes to things that we like. If somebody makes 25 threads, we will probably not give more than 3 upvotes to the same person. 

I believe, the single thing that we did differently from other communities is that we have been doing this task constantly, almost every day since the beginning of March. 

## Why everybody wins?
First of all, there aren't that many curators that upvote threads. By being consistent, we give some value to the platform with our curation. This is therefore positive for the platform because it needs life and the life is incentivised by such upvotes.

Of course the person who writes the thread is happy because he/she gets an upvote for their content. It's not a big value upvote but still, it's not zero and it will encourage to produce more threads.

For us, it is of course work but it doesn't take more than 5-10 minutes per day. Since we are two to share the workload, it's also easier. Thanks to the fact that Liotes has been visible so well over the last 6 months in the trending tags, we have been able to promote our project. We got new owners of LENM and new people taking part in our weekly missions. Also our image has grown and we got some invitations for podcasts and shows where we could present Liotes.

We see today a lot of people using the Liotes tag in their threads without knowing anything about our project. After a while however, they start to be curious and they look what it is all about. For us this is really great because it allows us to get new people into our community in an organic way. They look us up and they are curious about the project.

I would say that the reason for this success comes down to consistency. The fact that we give these upvotes every single day, was the only thing that we did differently from most of the other projects. This consistency was noticed, people started to use the tag and they realized that they got some upvotes... Incentives paired with consistency as a recipe that works pretty well in the blockchain world...
