Feels good to be back
Some of you may know I started traveling a few weeks ago, had some treatment I needed to finish up in another country before I had moved to Asia. As I was done with that, successfully, I realized I wasn't really ready to get back to Hive fully yet. Last time I had had a vacation was over a year ago and being full-time anything can really get to you, especially Hive things where it's usually more than your average 8h job (although depends from day to day of course).

It just gets a lot at some point, especially when the gf and other people not involved with Hive is all they hear about when talking to me, so I decided to postpone coming back home to chill out a little bit in Bangkok and I realize now that I really needed that. The city is pretty amazing as well, I'm usually not a big fan of big cities but it's kind of magical how calm and stressless it is for being so big with such a high population.

More on that with a ton of pictures soon as I've really missed posting and my other activity on chain that's more comfortable to do on a PC.

Some things in no particular order that I'm looking forward to get back to building/improving:

Onboarding, we wanna make onboarding a bit easier but there's been quite a few recent roadblocks there. One of them being these API issues from other web2's that we wanted to be using as a barrier to allowing anyone/everyone to spend/waste our account credits. We haven't been all too happy with how they've been used by hiveonboard and the lack of communication or sign of life from the dev so we've contracted someone to create our own onboarding page and use it for both POSH and OCD onboarding initiatives. Hopefully we get a bit further in that regard very soon.

In the same light, POSH has been under maintenance for a while now, Twitter's making it harder and harder for us to operate somewhat so we'll have to see what kind of methods we can instead adapt to. This one's been a bit in limbo lately as not only are we also revamping the website but we also have to wait to see how Reddit end up implementing the same API gatekeeping that Twitter did and if it's going to make sense for us to attempt to track certain shares. We'll know more after the beginning of next month.

Curation, here we also wanna continue to improve. It's been almost 6 years that OCD has been up and running and being updated constantly. We may shift some things around to maybe not focus on communities as much as we have the past couple years to instead shift a little focus back on those members that have time and time again shown they're here for the right reasons, same goes for curators involved in our program.

Other than that, there's quite a few other things on the backburner that I'll be personally focusing on in the near future that I'm pretty excited about but would be way too early to talk about now. Hopefully once things have stabilized a bit and there's enough certainty of it becoming real I can start sharing with everyone about it. One hint I can give is that if sharing with POSH becomes completely impossible using API's/automation, there's other things POSH can help create and build on Hive which I think will be great for the community and ecosystem. Though at some point I'd be happy to not make these decisions on my own but invite other reputable Hive members to make these decisions side by side with me and treat POSH as a DAO that builds great things for the exciting future of Hive.

Anyway, how are you all doing?
