This is ***'Tanah Lot'*** which means *Land (in the) Sea* in the Balinese language.  A Hindu temple, *Pura Tanah Lot* sits atop this large off-shore rock, with stairs and part of it cut into the rock itself.  With waves constantly crashing into it, the site itself is magnificent and awe-inspiring!

You may walk across to the temple during low tide but only locals are allowed to enter, which is a good thing, as you can see, lots of people do walk over up to the gates at the bottom of the temple outcrop.
