<div class="text-justify"> # Aproximadamente hacé cinco años una amiga dió en adopción un hermoso siamés a una familia conformada por una madre y dos hijas una de ellas ya bastante grande y la otra era una niña, creó que no habían pasado ni 32 horas y la chica quién fué la qué solicito adoptar al gato le no envío desesperada una nota de voz a mi amiga solicitando fuera a retirar el gato porque maullaba mucho.  <center>[Fuente](https://unsplash.com/photos/V_fSbpUQSmQ)</center>   Este es sólo uno de los casos de personas que no son concientes de la responsabilidad y todo lo que implica una adopción.  <center>[Fuente](https://unsplash.com/photos/Tc-8MIhoQRQ)</center> Por lo menos en el caso anterior devolvieron el bebé a quien lo había entregado y no lo lanzaron a la calle o lo entregaron a alguien más. Pero no es lo que siempre ocurre.  <center>[Fuente](https://unsplash.com/photos/IBTspth4PtM)</center> Adoptar es un acto de amor y responsabilidad siempre hago énfasis en que no se debe adoptar un gato o perro sólo en un momento de emoción y luego cuando viene el momento de atender al animalito en cuestión, alimentar, limpiar orine y excremento, ir al veterinario, entre otros, se convierte en un fastidio y peso para la familia o persona adoptante. Otra cosa qué puede pasar y ha ocurrido aquí en Venezuela es que las familias planifican irse del país y ocurre una de dos: no incluyen al animal de compañía en sus planes o simplemente les parece muy costoso el papeleo, pasaje y todo lo que implica organizar lo necesario para llevárselo y simplemente lo abandonan.  <center>[Fuente](https://unsplash.com/photos/3hvmrZJTfJU)</center> Esto último es muy probablemente una muerte segura para el animal de compañía y la razón es que un animal que no ha vivido en la calle no esta preparado para afrontar todos los peligros y menos sabrá encontrar alimento. En el mejor de los casos podría ser rescató por alguien,pero no es lo que regularidad ocurre, estos animales abandonados se encuentran solos,muy asustados y desorientados tras ser abandonados. En lo personal cuando doy gatitos en adopción les hago saber que si por alguna razón ya no quieren tener al gato por favor lo devuelvan, que por favor no me los tiren a la calle.  <center>[Fuente](https://unsplash.com/photos/PcFTwdoi7Sg)</center> Ya estamos por comenzar la hermosa época navideña y en estas fechas a veces regalan animales, muchas asociaciones, fundaciones y proteccionistas pedimos no hagan esto debido a que estás fechas están llenas de emociones, muchas de ellas temporales y al llegar los Carnavales si la familia o persona a la que se le regaló el animal puede abandonarlo a su suerte por su deseo de salir de viaje y es algo ya demostrado estadísticamente que en estás fechas aumentan los abandonos En pocas palabras no todas las personas pueden ser adoptantes responsables y brindar un hogar lleno de amor y genuino cuidado para un animal.  <center>[Fuente](https://unsplash.com/photos/BlUqDo2rang)</center> Mi propósito con estás palabras es que tomen conciencia y sean responsables si han decisión tener un animal de compañía, no lo abandones el no te abandonaría a ti. Adopting is an act of love and responsibility. I always emphasize that you should not adopt a cat or dog only in a moment of emotion and then when the time comes to take care of the little animal in question, feed it, clean up its urine and excrement, go to the veterinarian, among others, it becomes a nuisance and burden for the family or adopting person. Another thing that can happen and has happened here in Venezuela is that families plan to leave the country and one of two things happens: they do not include the pet in their plans or they simply find the paperwork, ticket and all that is involved in organizing the necessary to take it and they simply abandon it. This last one is very probably a sure death for the pet and the reason is that an animal that has not lived in the street is not prepared to face all the dangers and less will know how to find food. In the best of cases it could be rescued by someone, but this is not what regularly happens, these abandoned animals are alone, very scared and disoriented after being abandoned. Personally, when I give kittens up for adoption, I let them know that if for some reason they no longer want the cat, please give it back to me. We are about to begin the beautiful Christmas season and during this time of year they sometimes give away animals, many associations, foundations and protectionists ask that you do not do this because these dates are full of emotions, many of them temporary and when the Carnival arrives if the family or person to whom the animal was given can abandon it to its luck because of its desire to leave on a trip and it is something already statistically demonstrated that during these dates the abandonments increase. Simply put, not everyone can be a responsible adopter and provide a loving and genuinely caring home for an animal.
