Since I started preschool until my two graduations in college, each and every one of my classes were face to face, it never crossed my mind that in the future virtual classes would exist, the truth is that it was something that was obvious to see how the ways of communication evolved through computers and then through smart phones.

I don't know if it was always latent, but I think the moment when virtual classes or courses definitely became stronger was during the years of the pandemic, Before COVID I heard a lot about online English classes, but I only know those courses.

My first experiences with online classes or courses were as a mere spectator, I mean watching and listening to friends teaching something using their laptops and other students using their PCs as well. It seemed and seems acceptable to me.

Then I heard about the same thing using their phones and I assumed that they were doing it with tools like Zoom, Skype or Google Meet. Then I heard that they also used WhatsApp, then I was confused, because I had no idea how they did it, until it was my turn to face something like that.

Last year we were informed in the office that they were going to dictate a diploma course and that it would be virtual, I was interested so I signed up, but here I can say that I found myself with a real experience of expectation versus reality.

Now, I had in mind that the diploma course would be dictated using some tool that would allow me to see the teachers who would dictate the various classes, being as I mentioned, someone who throughout his academic life took classes in person I need to see someone on the other side, I am someone audited, but also very visual, I like to take notes and see the teacher, since, by their gestures and tones in the words I can catch a lot.

But it turned out that these classes were through a WhastApp group chat and some teachers did not even send an audio to listen, they wrote and the interaction of the students was at the same time, which for me was a complete chaos, I tried to adapt and follow the rhythm of that disaster during the first two weeks, but I simply became an eight, so I ended up leaving the diploma, fortunately it was free, because I simply did not adapt to that virtual method.

Then I found out that other classmates had also dropped out due to similar situations because they did not receive the messages on time and because they felt that this particular method was not the most efficient.

Not if in this aspect I will have a denial, but that way with that method only of messages by WhastApp I did not feel that I was catching anything, it was just terrible for me, as I already mentioned I prefer to sit in front of a laptop or phone and see someone or listen to them, making use of some tool, even if I have to be seated and attentive for 90 minutes, but it seems better to me.
