A very special greeting to all my friends of weekend commitments... today is Sunday, and for me it's the best day to calmly enjoy a warm, delicious breakfast, with the silence typical of people who allow themselves to stay in bed for a while, where there's peace.

For some time now, I've realized that I'm developing a bad habit: I eat breakfast standing in the middle of the kitchen, as if the very act of eating breakfast were conditioned by time. *You have exactly 3 minutes to eat breakfast: run!*

***What starts one day and repeats the next becomes a miserable routine.***

Well, then, Sunday is a little different, and I try hard not to let it be that way. The special breakfast for my delicate stomach is one that always includes natural yogurt with a spoonful of sugar, toast with cheese, scrambled eggs, or just an omelet.

![IMG_20250406_155402.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/adaluna1973/23xVZyfgtbaSSrvDYNZHt88Yt2agZahJZtfLKz5TgMUgdpVUzdkoVwBPL8Fu5JPnw81pd.jpg)

Simple and complicated. Simple because it's nothing special, and complicated because even bread is scarce, but I'll talk about that later because right now I don't want to spoil the view of my breakfast... it looks good, right?

On other occasions, I drink milk, but right now I've decided against it, and it's on hiatus for a while. Who would have thought? Me, the number one milk fanatic.

So, it gives me immense pleasure to take out my toaster, put the bread on it with a slice of cheese, and watch how the bread and cheese merge into one another, and just watching it makes my mouth water.

![IMG_20250406_154524.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/adaluna1973/23wMefiMgQPrUY3D1mXkbNu2RVNUDMFSw59vcqfQBQUQhsWVRj59YG9ASPSEHGUkkpvu1.jpg)

¡¡I'm already salivating before I even get to the table!!... Coffee? No, I hardly ever drink coffee; my stomach can't handle it, but when I can, I add two teaspoons of powdered milk to the cup and make a "a litle short"... Is that what they call it in your country too? Or just strong coffee with milk?

I also love eggs for breakfast. If you add a little Parmesan cheese, it gives a very mild flavor; if I add Creole cheese, it becomes more pronounced. At least Creole cheese is more organic and natural... except that it's just as expensive... but we're talking about what I like to have for breakfast, right?

Natural juices also have their benefits, but they increase my acid reflux, so I don't pursue them.
Honestly, there aren't any juices on this lush, green tropical island supposedly filled with coconuts on its shores and exotic fruits that fall on your head... boom... boom... but don't worry, I won't digress... there's so much peace this Sunday!

Bananas this season aren't sweet. There's a lot of drought in my country right now, and water is important for them.

And at this point, I go to the table with my plate and my little white mug to SIT IN PEACE and enjoy a family breakfast with my husband, and that's also on the Sunday breakfast menu.

But I can't forget to tell you that I also make breakfast for my pet. She usually does it before us... Bratty? No way! She's the little girl in the house, and I think she's expecting babies, so she's the queen of my palace.

This is Chloe.

When it comes to pets, I feel like I prefer a female; I've only had female dogs. That means I wouldn't know how to handle a male dog right now, and I'd be better off with a female cat...a bit crazy, I know.

Anyway, I feel very familiar with female dogs because I know everything about their temperament, their hormonal needs, the illnesses they can suffer from, and the general care they require. The differences are more marked in the breeds and their ways of relating to humans...incredible, but yes...the commonality is the unconditional love they show you over time.

I don't hide from anyone that I sleep with my dog. Some will say she's an animal and that she has her associated pests and illnesses, but even if they tell me that, I feel a great emotional dependence on her, and her warmth at night is necessary for my spiritual peace...we have a strong connection...although her father sometimes gets a little jealous of our codependency.

She has her own bed but....

There isn't a night that goes by that she doesn't join me in front of the television on my lap, dozing or barking at every outside noise she hears, also enjoying the quiet of the night while I'm absorbed in the movies that capture my attention the most, which are the romance genre.

Oh, but hey, what did you expect? I'm a woman, right?

I love romance, which doesn't mean I only watch romance; there are also well-plotted dramas with a solid, in-depth script... because I like to think and analyze during the movie.
But romance has a "something" that women love, especially those from the era when women began to rebel and claim their space within a society largely dominated by men...

[Pride and Prejudice](https://youtu.be/qQgsLbBsCXQ?feature=shared). My favorite romantic movie. Screenshot from YouTube.

But I confess that horror movies intimidate me a lot, and I prefer to watch them with someone else. The bad thing is that my husband doesn't like them, so I don't watch them... Is he afraid of them too? Even if he says no, I think he is... Hmm...🤪

Finally, regarding the first topic, I must say that I don't trust any organization that works for governments. Lies and demagoguery are the most natural things in life. And the world only moves according to the interests of a few who hold the power.

***Thinking, eating, and living, that's life in a nutshell, except that between the three of them there should be a lot of peace.***

I hope you enjoyed my participation in this meeting, and I'll see you at the next weekend.
