Metaplanet, a Web3 company in Japan, has just followed in MicroStrategy's footsteps and added Bitcoin to their portfolio.  They used to be a travel website, *"Redplanet"*, before pivoting to Web3.  That in itself was probably a great move.  I bet they have some great visionaries in that company.  Their forward thinking disposition is probably why they can make such a move and actually go through with what other companies simply speculate on.

As a result of this, the companies stock price nearly doubled with a 90% surge.  We are used to that kind of *pump* in crypto, especially in the short period of time it occurred, within 24 hours, but that is nearly unheard of in the traditional stock market. This signifies the bullishness of Japanese investors when it comes to Bitcoin, and probably other cryptos - specifically XRP.

XRP is a darling in Japan. [It has been predicted that every bank in the country will use XRP to transact cross-border payments by 2025!](https://www.thecryptoalert.com/post/bank-of-japan-to-use-xrp-to-facilitate-cross-border-payments).  That was quite an announcement I think.  Also [SBI Holdings](https://www.cryptoglobe.com/latest/2023/10/xrp-japanese-financial-giant-sbi-holdings-unveils-nft-initiative-on-xrp-ledger-for-world-expo-2025/) in Japan is probably the most bullish company when it comes to XRP. 

Now with ETFs launching all over the world, it's a very tiny logical step to speculate that an XRP ETF will materialise in Japan at some point.  When all the stars align, it's going to be amazing for XRP.  Not financial advice as usual, DYOR!
