A Steemit invite. Or- Oh gosh I'm finally catching on. Or- Did you say currency? Or- Hold on. I'm just getting on with it
Hi. This is not the post. The post is quoted below the line. It's what I will be posting elsewhere on my other places as a little heads up to my buds. Tho maybe in edited chunks. Then I realised I should just post it here first as the source.

Thanks also Steemies for the little chats today, I've been waaaaay sidetracked and _life_ and I'll be back tomorrow to check notifications. Best xx

## I’m on a blockchain. And maybe this is a heads up for my creative/activist/writer/organiser friends

I'm Aeryn, I make art. I've tried various ways of monetising my work in the past. I have a lot of work on my computer and in my head. I have just started a new website to post my work. But I realistically expect that to largely be a vanity project. I like my work and I want the world to see it. I want to be paid for it. Not my time, not any product I might make. These are pennies that come and go. But I need a real income _despite_ the fact that I am unable to work. But I do sometimes _produce_ a thing. A unit of art. Is the act of production something I could be paid for?

So, I have a blog stored within, or on top of, and _encrypted?_ by a blockchain. It’s got a cryptocurrency and stability and permanence. I tried a thing last year that failed. I almost made 80USD off it but they shut it down abruptly. This seems maybe loads better. And blockchain is something that's been just beyond my peripheral vision a while now. And now I'm starting realise I don't want to ignore it any longer – it could actually really help me. I really need to help myself and loved ones right now due to circumstances and life things, and employment isn't an option. I saw tsu as a potential income, maybe this could be.

So far, it’s been a friction free blogging platform-experience for me, I can write posts in markdown. The web page works perfectly in Chrome app on my iPad as a basic markdown editor with a nice smooth image upload. It’s optionally monetised, and comments and votes, replies and so on as most other places.

But also a whole boat load of out-there concepts with blockchains and cryptocurrencies, other networks or comms channels, that intuitively makes sense on a macro level but becomes way too bright and shiny as soon as I try to look at it :) but it's starting to sink in and it's fascinating to me, some of this. It's getting my geeky senses tingling. Ha.

The website is Steemit.com
