Quantum computers are on the rise these days. Many people say these computers supersede classical supercomputers in future, which is called quantum supremacy. If it does, we will get a whole lot of possibilities in answering a problem. But the question is is it possible to get quantum computers in real time. It may not replace our classical computers at home, but they are useful for many other important purposes. It is already being used by some big companies such as Google, IBM, and Intel. So what is a quantum computer, and why they are so special? A classical computer work with the binary system which consists of 1 and 0, In other words, classical computers have a binary system that has loads of bits in a state of 0 and 1. However, quantum computers work with Quantum bits also known as Qubits which can be 0 or 1 or it can be in any position. This phenomenon is called superposition, which means it can any position to get a higher possibility of answering a question. Several quantum algorithms are being implemented in quantum computers which will enhance the probability of the state you want while eliminating others you don’t want. [Image Source]( https://infoginx.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/Quantum-Computing-05-1200x922.png) Moreover, if you are not observing it, it will be in a superposition state with 1 or 0 that you cant predict, but Qubits collapses in indefinite states when you measure them. The probability goes exponentially when you are using an extra Qubit. Thereby, a concept called entanglement has come into the picture, where a closer connection between qubits that make all qubits react to a change in another state instantaneously, regardless of their distance between one and other. For example, if a qubit is on earth and other is in-universe, there will be a connection too. So, the procedure is a quantum computer makes some qubits and then apply gates to make them entangle, which measures the result by collapsing superposition to an actual sequence of zero and one at same time. By exploiting superposition and entanglement, the process can be exponentially more efficient. I believe this is another revolution. Things are getting better and better day by day and technology is evolving. I hope we can use them in near future.
