# Ever been to your local zoo?

For the first time ever I went with my family to the local zoo.

It wasn't the first time I have been to the zoo, but it was the first time I have been to this zoo.

Like I expected, the lines were long and the parking lot was crowded and the prices were steep.

# Not all bad.

Once I got inside it was something more akin to an amusement park than a zoo, at least in my opinion.

However, once I got over the cost and the long lines it really was a neat experience.

There were animals everywhere.

They did a good job of integrating their natural habitat into the surroundings.

Each section of the zoo was part of their habitat, for example the jungle animals were in the tropical portion while the desert animals were in the desert portion.

# They even had little sections were you could pet some of the animals and feed them.

Those were my favorite.

Overall, it was  a great time and something I look forward to doing again.
