### Hello Everybody! *You guys may have noticed the bigger bid bots in the market almost all of them have changed their Max Post Age to 3.5 days, which I guess is really a good sign, I will explain below why this is good for all of us.* # But how all this happened? ## Background Yeah, I guess you guys are well informed of the guy @grumpycat, who just from nowhere appeared with a huge Steem Power and announced some new set of rules for the Bid Bots. **This was his first post announcing the deadline:** > ### Warning to vote buyer/sellers! - Introducing GrumpyCompliance, mandatory in 14 days. (No more post-promotion allowed past 3.5 days) > https://steemit.com/steem/@grumpycat/warning-to-vote-buyer-sellers-introducing-grumpycompliance-mandatory-in-14-days-no-post-promotion-allowed-after-3-5-days But I guess no one took that notice serious and then @grumpycat stepped and started his operation downvoting posts which tried to earn bids on the 6th day. I guess that stopped some accounts from buying upvotes but not the whole, so what @grumpycat announced then is that, he is going to downvote posts which are buying bids from Non-GrumpyComplaint vote sellers irrespective of the age of the post. **This was his announcement post:** > ### Non-GumpyCompliant vote sellers are now to be used exclusively to profit from the reward pool! > https://steemit.com/abuse/@grumpycat/non-gumpycompliant-vote-sellers-are-now-to-be-used-exclusively-to-profit-from-the-reward-pool And then he started his operation downvoting those posts buying bids from these bots leaving a comment to inform.

And eventually, this is the result of that operation launched by @grumpycat. Just look at the red boxes showing maximum age of the posts in order to receive upvotes from these bid bots. No one is going beyond 3.5 days, even some have gone down than that.

*You can read about these bots here:* https://steembottracker.com # My Views ***Well, I should thank @grumpycat for his efforts in doing so, because I myself saw some really low-quality posts receiving some huge upvotes from bid bots on the 6th day, which purely showed that it is not more than simply for profits. These things ain't going to help us in our future because you may know that Steemit is only for those who are producing a good content and earn rewards for that. So @grumpycat proposed idea is to make max post-age to 3.5 for receiving upvotes from bid bots, because that will give us a good chance to see posts if they are overrated or you know received more than what it deserved.*** *So it's a good sign for the community that lame low-quality posts receiving heavy upvotes could get noticed and may get downvoted for having a maximum time until it is payed out. As you know that bots can't know what is a good post and what is a low post. They only know Upvotes on posts received in links.* I also appeal to the community to stop these low posters and make them produce something good or at least make them try to produce something good, because you gotta be an idiot to not understand a good post or effort behind a post. `So again, I should admire @grumpycat for his awesome job, you have done it dude. It's a positive step in the success of this community.` Don't forget to share your views. Thanks
