There are tons of hidden features in **google chrome**, that you almost never hear about. I am going to show you some of these pretty cool features that you don't really ever hear about in **google chrome**. Some of them are really useful and a couple of them are just pretty neat but either way, you should be pretty interested especially if you are using **google chrome** as you primary browser. # Chrome Flags Page The first couple settings are actually in a hidden settings window they you probably didn't even know existed. There are a bunch of these in chrome but the first one that I want to mention is the chrome flags page. To get to this all you do is go into the google address bar and type in **`chrome://flags`** and that will bring up a bunch of hidden and experimental settings that you can't access from anywhere else.

### Tab Audio Muting UI Control The first one I want to talk about is the **`Tab audio muting UI control`** feature. Anytime a browser tab is playing, it will show a speaker symbol and addition to that you can actually mute that tab by clicking on that speaker symbol, instead of going and find that tab in which the video is playing. After enabling this feature, you can mute the speaker symbol on your window just by simply clicking on it. ### Fast Tab/ Window Close Sometimes you try to exit something and it doesn't quite respond right away, so enabling it is good anyway. ### Smooth Scrolling Well if you are not happy with this feature as it is by default enabled then you can disable it from here. # Net Internals This shows all sorts of complex and interesting network data that you may or may not be able to ever use but it still need to be able to see. There are a bunch of other stuffs that you may find helpful. # Quota Internals This shows the space usage on your hard drive. Whether it's the chrome software as a whole or individual websites. So you can go and expand it and see what kind of storage each website might be using. May be if you notice that chrome is taking a bunch of space for some reason and kind of get an idea of may be why this website is loading slow. So a lot of useful information you can get from there. # Play / Cast Any Media File This is actually a useful feature, with the help of which you can play any video, audio or a media file. Drag the file into chrome as if it was a new tab, and then it will open up that file and let you play it. You may also combine it with the casting feature. # Chrome Experiments Well these are just for fun and knowledge based and it just give some ideas of cool demos that developers have created using chrome different features and technologies. # Chrome Task Manager Like windows chrome actually has it's own task manager. Click on `Regular Settings` button then `More Tools` and then `Task Manager`. It will show you all the different process that are running in the chrome, so you can click on any of them and can `End process` them. # Find My Phone Type in **Find my phone** into the google chrome address bar and it will bring up a google search page with the dialogue box and information about how to find it. It will probably make you log in and then find your phone via GPS and show you exactly where it is. So from there you actually ring the phone, play a sound or play a message on there. # Re-open Closed Tabs Well if you close tabs mistakenly or for some reasons, then simple press `Ctrl + Shift + T` and it will open up your most recent tabs. That's it, these were some useful chrome features that you may find some of them very useful. Don't forget to share your views. Thanks
