 Cryptocurrency market is kind of bleeding from the last few months and some guys who are not very much familiar with the cryptocurrencies and sometimes familiar but not smart, out of the FUD sell their cryptocurrencies in order to escape from the fear of losing more money. Steem itself is approximately $2.16 today, which is really gone down compared to the price it had few months ago. I think would also have thought to power down as soon as possible to escape this fear of losing money in the form of low Steem prices. # LET ME EXPLAIN WHY THE PRICES HAVE GONE DOWN With Bitcoin hitting $20,000 a few months ago and the prices of other cryptocurrencies were on the rise too, everyone was amazed with the prices and even those who didn't know about Bitcoin were also curios to know about this digital currency. I remember when Bitcoin broke at our national news channel for it's price. This amazing shift of prices buzzed the governments around the globe and they started to control Bitcoin by trying to ban it on it's exchanges. You have the example of China banning the trade of bitcoin on it's exchange, North Korea, India and some more countries. We have also seen reports about governments launching an operation against the cryptocurrency users and arresting them. These things were a setback for cryptocurrencies in the form of their prices, as more and more people trying to escape the market out of that fear. And now you can see the market struggling from a few months. <center></center> # FUTURE OF CRYPTOCURRENCIES I myself am really much hopeful about the future of cryptocurrencies and this is why I am working here on Steemit to earn some Steem and I also bought some Ripple XRP and left that to the future. Those sky prices were like a whistle in the ear to the governments and they woke up and tried to ban cryptocurrencies because this concept of digital currency is pretty much new and almost all the countries didn't have any tax laws and regulations for these, so they tried to stop it by banning it. But now with time most of the countries are realizing that cryptocurrencies are for real and they involve real people with real money. Now most of the countries are trying not to ban the cryptocurrencies but at least to regulate and put them under the law. <center></center> Some latest developments like [Coinbase Partners with the British Bank Barclays](https://steemit.com/coinbase/@aftabkhan10/coinbase-partners-with-the-british-bank-barclays), [France embracing ICOs](https://steemit.com/cryptocurrency/@aftabkhan10/good-news-paris-embracing-icos), [Germany says no Tax on Bitcoin used in Payments](https://steemit.com/bitcoin/@aftabkhan10/germany-says-no-tax-on-bitcoin-used-in-payments), Ripple XRP partnering with banks, Visa, Western Union, US might also be regulating cryptos etc. These are some of the latest developments and hopefully more to come in the coming future, might really be a blast in the crypto world in future. I believe these positive things will continue to happen until most part of the world regulate cryptocurrencies and legalize it.
