I've having some work done.  This includes replacing a drop ceiling in my basement.  It's a nice finished basement and my kids play down there.  There's enough room and a good floor for roller skating.  There's also a big tv with a few retro platfroms.  My daughters were playing Sonic the Hedgehog and there were some worker dudes there.  They were watching with open jaws, started humming the theme song, and were taken back to the days when they were kids playing these games all day long in the summer themselves.

Gaming runs deep in our soul.  It makes us happy, it teaches us how to think (as opposed to TV which teaches us what to think), and it makes connections between gamers all over the globe.

This is one of the main reasons I love working on Splinterlands.  It's game.  It brings people together.  It emits joy in people's hearts.  Yes you can earn, yes you can trade cards, and all that, but at the base it's a fun game to play and it brings people together.  It also introduces them to crypto, which I firmly believe can be one of the best tools ever created to spread Peace, Abundance, and Liberty throughout the world.

Anyway, it brought me joy to see another who had been this impacted by games growing up and thought you kind folk might like remembering your old gamer days too.
