<p></p> <div class="text-justify"> In yesterday's article I explained that vitamins are organic compounds necessary for the normal metabolism of certain living organisms, and that in the case of in vitro techniques for mass plant multiplication, the following groups are among the vitamins used in culture media.</div> <p></p> <center><img src="https://labassociates.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/05/blog_10-1-scaled.jpg"/><center> ▶ Credits: <a href="https://labassociates.com/6-plant-tissue-culture-media-for-beginners" rel="noopener" title="This link will take you away from steemit.com"> Labassociates.</a> – [Image of Public Domain]</center></div> <p></p> <center><img src="https://i.postimg.cc/J72VHn59/Agro-Vision-Banner2.png"/></center> <p></p> <div class="pull-left"><img src="https://iijls.com/html_img/1270%20(2).jpg"/><center> ▶ Credits: <a href="https://iijls.com/currentissue/IJLSSR-1270.htm" rel="noopener" title="This link will take you away from steemit.com"> Iijls.</a> – [Image of Public Domain]</center></div> <p> <div class="text-justify">▶ The first group is Thiamine (B1), which is an essential component of the coenzymes that catalyze the oxidation of pyruvic acid in the respiratory cycle. Therefore, without this vitamin, living cells cannot perform their vital functions.</p> <p> <div class="text-justify"> The second group is Riboflavin (B2), a vitamin necessary for root growth and induction of root formation. It acts mainly in apical dominance.</div> <p></p> <div class="text-justify"> The third group is Niacin (B12), which plays an important role in respiration because it is a component of coenzymes I and II, which are hydrogen-bearing groups in the respiratory phase of dehydrogenation.</div> <p></p> <div class="text-justify"> The fourth group is Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C), which is involved in the oxidation systems of the cell and establishes favorable oxidation-reduction potentials.</div> <p></p> <center><img src="https://www.plantcelltechnology.com/product_images/uploaded_images/shutterstock-1164049147-min.jpg"/><center> ▶ Credits: <a href="https://www.plantcelltechnology.com/pct-blog/tissue-culture-contamination-and-7-easy-steps-of-prevention/" rel="noopener" title="This link will take you away from steemit.com"> Plantcelltechnology. </a> – [Image of Public Domain] </center></div> <p></p> <div class="text-justify"> I must clarify that in culture media for plant multiplication by in vitro techniques, crystals of Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C) are used to reduce oxidized tannins in vitro or on the surface of freshly cut fruits, hence, any water-soluble vitamin, synthesized in one part of the plant and transferred to another, in which it acts, deserves the name of hormone.</div> <p></p> <div class="text-justify"><strong>NOTE:</strong> Reference material.</div> <p></p> <div class="text-justify"><a href="https://colostate.pressbooks.pub/clonalcryopreservation/chapter/media/" rel="noopener" title="This link will take you away from steemit.com"> Plant Tissue Culture Media Preparation. </a></div> <p></p> <center>≕ <strong> I invite you to stay tuned and read my next contribution </strong> ≔</center>
