In the end of the 2022, [I picked a Kanji for 2023](https://hive.blog/hive-174301/@akipponn/a-kanji-for-my-2023) “流”, which means flow.

I try to imagine flow in my daily life; flow of the air when I breathe, flow of money, flow of others’ and my emotions, flow of work and projects and so on.

Flow, flow, flow …

Flow + er = flower

Flower!

Then I made this drawing last night. I didn't make rough lines with pencils. I directly drew with a pen. It was a quite smooth process.

Isn’t it playful that a person who senses flow (flow plus suffix “er”) or enjoys flows around him/her, and blooming flowers have the same spelling?

The image may be from the good old days with my grandparents. My grandfather was a captain and I often went to the ocean with my grandparents for sailing, fishing and swimming in my childhood. They liked plants too.

2022年の最後に、2023年の漢字として「流」を選びました。英語でいうとflowです。

呼吸をするときの空気の流れ、お金の流れ、他人や自分の感情の流れ、仕事やプロジェクトの流れなど、日常生活の中で流れをイメージしています。

流れ、流れ、流れ。Flow flow flow.

Flow + er = flower!

Flowのおしりに「〜をする人」を表す「er」をつけると、あら不思議、花を表す「flower」になります。そんな駄洒落に気づいて昨夜この絵を書きました。

流れを感じる人、周りの流れを楽しむ人と、花が同じスペルって、遊び心があると思いませんか？植物が大好きなのでなんだかうれしい気持ちになりました。

下書きなしでするする描いて、なんで魚にしたのだろうと考えると、多分、海や魚、植物にいい思い出があるからだと思います。祖父が昔船長をしていて、子供の頃に祖父母と船に乗ったり、釣りをしたり、泳いだりするために海にいったのです。懐かしいなあ。

そんなこんなの日々のお絵かきと考え事でした。

今年は絵の練習をがんばりたいです。
