<b><i>LumiWatch is a new smartwatch invented by researchers at Carnegie Mellon University which projects interactive surface area of 40 centimeters square when you wear it. With this invention, the wearer is now able to turn an area of his arm into a touchscreen.</i></b>

LumiWatch allows the wearer to swipe and type on his skin and the projected area is 5 times bigger than that of a typical smartwatch. The researchers achieved a high-quality battery which lasts continuously for 1 hour and is assumed to last for one day for discontinuous use.

1. 15 lumen scanned-laser projector, 
2. continuous 2D finger tracking, 
3. Qualcomm 1.2 GHz quad-core CPU, 
4. 768MB of RAM, 
5. 4GB flash memory, 
6. 740 mAh lithium-ion battery with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi capability. 
7. The software is 'Android 5.1'

However, there are still <b>obstacles to overcome</b> regarding the projection on the wearer's arm since it is not flat. And concerning the <b>cost</b>, researchers estimate a price of $600 for one LumiWatch.
