It was a busy flight, like a scout helicopter flying around in enemy territory. I saw it land on one patch of grass and then move on to another. I knew what he was looking for—aphids? or perhaps baby leafhoppers for lunch? Absolutely, no doubt!

The thorax is turquoise green with orange stripes; the abdomen and tail are orange with nine segments and one black stripe. Is it a female? Yes, it looks like it's a female. This species is common in green grassy areas and is widely distributed in Asia and parts of Australia.

This one was taken near a swamp. This only got two shots because it left in a hurry. Yes, you shouldn't hinder someone who doesn't have time for you.

I got the male; it can be recognized based on the physical characteristics of the damselfly, which is bright blue with black lines on its thorax and compound eyes; the abdomen and tail are blue with black segments.
