Hello Steemians, As most of you know the Markets have been bleeding over the past few days. I had to do a facepalm for this [quartz article](https://qz.com/1069077/bitcoin-fails-as-a-haven-amid-fears-of-nuclear-conflict-between-us-and-north-korea/) with states >Bitcoin fails its test as a haven in times of global turmoil After climbing more that 400% this year naysayers are still trying to spread FUD. But I digress, this post is actually a follow up to a [post that I made 2 months ago](https://steemit.com/cryptocurrency/@alao/cat-cryptocurrency-automatic-trader-how-to-make-money-in-your-sleep).  I got mixed reviews about the effectiveness of C.A.T and if the price really outweighs the potential gains that you could see using it. If there is one reality in these markets is that there are bot's everywhere that manipulate the prices 24/7. So in order to ensure you don't get slammed during times like these you have to remember the saying. If you can't beat them join them. I don't run my trader all of the time but I decided to turn it on during the downturn this weekend to "short" the alt coins that I currently hold. I figured if I could sell and rebuy my coins I would be able to keep my original amounts plus some gains ### Target Markets The following markets were only chosen because I already had a balances. Please don't consider this buy or sell advice. Below are the balances that I started off with including the available market pairs Token | Markets | Balance ------------ | ------------- | ------------- NEO | BTC/ETH/USD | 30 NEO PTOY| BTC/ETH | 1000 PTOY STEEM| BTC | 100 STEEM MTL| BTC/ETH | 10 MTL GBYTE| BTC | .1 GBYTE SLR | BTC|1000 SLR BCH|BTC/ETH/USDT| 3 BCH BTS|BTC/ETH| 9000 BTS ## Initial Market Orders C.A.T uses a ping-pong algo and has a lot of advanced features that I would like to cover in this post but it would be way to extensive. To keep it simple I set C.A.T to sell on all available markets and only buy back when they have dropped 5% or more.  So my initial market sell parameters were set up in the following manner. Market Pair | Order ------------ | ------------- NEO/BTC | 10 NEO NEO/ETC | 10 NEO NEO/USDT | 10 NEO PTOY/BTC | 500 PTOY PTOY/ETH | 500 PTOY STEEM/BTC | 100 STEEM SBD/BTC | 9.98 SBD MTL/BTC | 5 MTL MTL/ETH | 5 MTL GBYTE/BTC | .1 GBYTE SLR/BTC | 1000 SLR BCH/BTC | 1 BCH BCH/UDST | 1 BCH BCH/ETH | 1 BCH BTS/BTC | 4000 BTS BTC/ETH | 4000 BTS ## Results After running the algo for about 24 hours the results were as follows: Overall Stats: **0.02404404 BTC, 0.31746297 ETH and 95.46724016 USDT** Now when I initially set my algo the default of ".6% minimum" was applied on some markets. About 8 hours into the run I realized this error and updated it to 5% minimum. These crypto markets are very volatile and unpredictable. The way I had C.A.T execute my trades could have resulted in the opposite effect and there could have been no buy back of the tokens that I told it to sell.
