Nowadays, there are many ways to get scientific publication and research. Yes we can accumulate knowledge from existing data and publications but it is undeniable that we can not trust all traditional scientific publications which currently threatens the quality of scientific research. 

The current scientific publication system is unreliable and sometimes our system of publishing gives the highest status to research that is most likely to be wrong.

We are actually in the middle of a crisis of science. A research that represents one of the true hopes for moving society forward is lacking to say the least. There is no quality control measure in place to ensure the research is valuable and credible.

Another issue is that most publishers are trying to manipulate the [impact factor](https://clarivate.com/essays/impact-factor/) of a scientific publication and enhance the popularity and profitability from it.
