Greetings Steemians, here again with the fortieth law PART 3 and the last, I hope you like it

__Author of the book:__ "Robert Greene and Joost Elffers" **Warning:** This type of book talks about how people can impose power over others, but the goal of learning is to have the point of view of the two sides of the coin, one can use it to your advantage or another that you do not allow others to use it with you, for that reason I only tell you the summary of each law which will help me and you, and it is up to you to act on that since I do not agree on all the concepts raised and I think that you too will not be. We will talk about the fortieth law part 3 and the last

LAW

40

[IMAGEN](http://www.musica-y-letras.com/enlaces-videos-musica.html)

LESS THANK WHAT IS FREE

> __
CRITERION
__ Everything that is free is dangerous, since it usually involves some trick or a hidden commitment. The things that have value are worth paying for. In this way, you will not be bound to any gratitude, you will be free from guilt and will avoid frauds and deceptions. The smartest thing is, often, to pay the total price. When we talk about excellence there are no bargains. Be generous with your money and circulate it, since generosity is a sign and magnet of power. > __
OBSERVANCES OF THE LAW
__ __OBSERVANCE OF LAW II__ Baron James Rothschild despite his fortune found problems in French society because of his Jewish origin he did not know how a foreigner could earn the respect of such a society especially the people of the high class to which they abhorred foreigners. I analyze in the environment in which it was developed and the best option that was found was the show, since it was noticed that the French upper classes were bored. So he spent large sums of money to prepare his meetings the most luxurious with all the best, the French delighting his eyes and palate. At each meeting the number of guests was greater and each time Rothschild was gaining the trust and respect of each of the French and thus ensuring their power with social acceptance.
INTERPRETATION
James Rothschild knew how to play strategic generosity, since he was in a very high position needed to win the confidence of the French upper class, since they saw him as a threat due to his fortune and his foreign origin, which made him look offensive and unworthy of trust. And through the meetings he made it clear that he valued French culture and society more than his money, thus succeeding in sympathizing with the French and gaining their trust. With that ability to be flexible with wealth and put it to work not to buy objects but to win the hearts of the people could secure their Rothschild power. > __
OBSERVANCE OF LAW III
__ The Medids of Renaissance Florence had achieved immense power through banking business, however in Florence, a century-old republic, the idea that money conferred power was against the proud democratic values of the city. Because of that they had to suppress their ostentation of wealth through dissimulation, but there was a moment that was not enough with that, therefore Lorenzo, one of the members of the family decided to distract through patronage, had spent large sums of money on it and also supporting learning through financing for young artists and thus earning their gratitude. When Llorenzo was with an adversary, he appealed to the charity of the people through his patronage shield since in 1472 he placated the people of Pisa by donating money to the university, and the inhabitants of Pisa had no way of defending themselves from such a maneuver that they fed his craving for culture and his desires of battle. __
INTERPRETATION
__ At that time, in Florence the work of a banker was the least admired to make money, but the arts were the opposite inspired confidence and admiration since the arts was the best way to make a fortune and was not frowned upon by people, Then strategic generosity is very useful in this case distracting attention, diverting what is not pleasant or pleasing to you and at the same time not getting involved. > __
OBSERVANCE OF LAW V
__ The antiquarian Fushimiya and stopped a certain day in the teahouse of a village in the city of Edo, after serving his tea he stood watching a cup for several minutes and then buy it. An artisan, observing what he had done, asked the owner about him, the woman replied that he was a famous connoisseur of art pieces from Japan, that artisan when he ran out in search of Fushimiya to sell him such a cup as he thought that would have a lot of value, so Fushimiya starts to laugh and explains that it is a common cup and anyone, making it clear that she is interested because she likes the manifestations of strange beauty or nature due to the steam that was suspended over her in a way unusual At last the artisan managed to have the cup and went in search of experts to assess its price, what they said was an ordinary cup. By being determined that the cup was valuable, the artisan neglected his business, economically damaging. The artisan went in search of Fushimiya to tell him everything happened, Fushimiya realized that indirectly he had caused damage and so he gave him 100 ryo (gold coins) for simple kindness, thus making it clear that his efforts had not been in vain and freeing him of his obsession, the craftsman left very grateful. In a short time people had learned that a famous person bought that cup at a considerable price 100 ryo, and for that reason the people thought it should be worth much more. Fushimiya put that cup up for sale at an auction, people were arguing to get 200 ryo a very high price for anyone until the cup broke and the auction ended but Fushimiya repaired it and kept it as a relic. Until at one point Matsudaira the grand master of tea reviewed the legendary cup concluded that it was not worth the big thing, but the assessment more sentimental and associations that the intrinsic made that piece was so priced. __
INTERPRETATION
__ Through history we can conclude two things about money: since the men who have created the money, they are the ones who confer the meaning and value. Second, what the courtier values most are the feelings and emotions with which he is related to a person or object. In short, the more related to their feelings they keep their gifts and their generosity will confer the true power, since an object that removes some feeling has more meaning and power than the money that is wasted in a very expensive gift but that does not emanate any feeling . __
INVALIDATION
__ According to Robert Green, he talks about this invalidation about using "free" gifts by embarking on unsuspecting people through history, it happened and will continue to happen because a lot of people want to get something out of nothing, are lazy and dream of money fall from the sky, without any effort, in itself this invalidation is if you decide to cheat greedy people because "Greed does not bear fruit"

I hope you have been to your liking, we will see in another law See you: D
