https://i.imgur.com/DQ4pgcV.jpg This time I did something a little different from usual. While scooting around in search of someplace comfortable to stop and take a break, I recalled a building along the trail with a green roof. These buildings by regulation must be reinforced enough to hold up the added weight of the soil and the water it collects during rain, so I knew it'd hold me fine. https://i.imgur.com/TnISb6H.jpg The angular, sloped design made it a cinch to get up. There wasn't even really any climbing, you can just walk up there. I saw no signs forbidding me from doing so. There weren't any cameras, or guards. Nobody came out to scold me either. Maybe they just assume nobody would want to go up there? https://i.imgur.com/2GnMm0K.jpg If so, they're mistaken. It's a really cool feeling to have grassy earth beneath your feet even though you're a good fifteen feet or so above ground level, standing on a man made platform. There was a modest solar array up here as well. They really went the distance to make this structure ecologically sound. https://i.imgur.com/TXIY70r.jpg There are also rock channels for collecting rain and directing it off the roof so it doesn't build up too much. The segmented angular design made it feel like polygonal hills or something. The steeper slopes were really nice to lay down on, and I wound up napping for about an hour. https://i.imgur.com/pGcpOUU.jpg It was a hot, sunny day though, so I also bothered to collect some of that sweet free solar energy during my nap. Including my modular folding array which I used to both directly power and recharge a small wearable fan, to keep me from getting sweaty while I lay there. I won't positively ID the building in case I could still get in trouble for this. It's government property I help pay for with my tax dollars though, and I neither caused any damage nor meant any harm. I couldn't even see anybody inside through the windows, though the lights were on. I'll probably come back here with a modest picnic and some weed edibles a couple times this Summer. It's a really cool, somehow futuristic place to chill out, lay in the grass and let hours pass. Until someone shows up to tell me not to, I see no reason why I shouldn't avail myself of this comfy floating lawn. --- *Stay Cozy!*
