Like a cessna pilot navigating foggy mountains, pulling up to avoid smashing into them at the last possible moment, SBD has recovered from its death dive. Whether this heralds the start of a steady new climbing period remains to be seen.

It's a wild ride, isn't it? I recall an article I read some time ago about how crypto investors need to grow up. By which he meant they should stop seeing crypto as a get rich quick scheme and recognize that its true value is as a longterm potential livelihood, but that requires more stability.

It comes down to whether you want to eat fish for a day, or learn to fish so that you never go hungry again. Personally I would rather learn to fish. Sporadic surges are fun, but what will enable more people to make a living on this site is stable, lasting growth.

What does the future hold? I now know better than to guess. Acting like you have a financial crystal ball is a lucrative racket, but if you start drinking your own kool-aid it can drive you bonkers. We're just so many pigeons inside of skinner boxes. The best you can do is to resign yourself to the knowledge that while it isn't truly random, it may as well be for the impossibility of predicting what the market will do.

My hope for the future is stable growth. I don't want brief surges to $14 and then crashes like the one we had recently. I want to see STEEM in particular climb steadily, reliably, towards $10. Then $20. Then $50 and beyond. In a gradual and organic manner that can be sustained in the long term.

What's good for me is not necessarily good for everybody. But what's good for everybody is good for me. I'd rather have what's good for everybody then, as a rising tide lifts all boats. We will know it has risen too far when Kevin Costner shows up on a catamaran, with gills, drinking his own pee and talking about the myth of dry land.
