Hi everyone,

The Project:

https://www.gofundme.com/blockchainbased-charity-project-2v66he4

I'm just a random guy who wants to see a change happening in the domain of charity, and I will use the Blockchain technology to achieve this goal.

The money will be used to buy a pourcentage of Decred's Blockchain (21 millions shares will be ever mined) to connect people in need around the world.

Decred has its own voting system as well, which can be used to decide where the funds wil be sent in the future.

Blockchain-based Charity White Paper

Introductory remarks

Charities have been using Common Investment funds (CIFs) for decades.

CIFs are UK investment vehicles, similar to authorised unit trusts in structure, originally appearing in 1960 under Section 22 of The Charities Act. They are themselves registered charities, set up by schemes made by the Charity Commission. They are not available to retail investors, but enable charities to invest in sector specific pooled funds, across a range of asset classes including equities, cash, fixed interest, property and hedge funds.

Historically, CIFs have proved especially attractive to small and medium-sized charities, primarily due to the diversification they can provide to smaller investable sums through their pooled nature. They have also found favour through lower headline fees and tax exemptions including capital gains tax and stamp duty on equity purchases.

Now, though, their future looks less certain and there has even been speculation that CIFs may even be in terminal decline. In the past three years the Charities Aid Foundation, amongst others, has closed its CIF and other significant developments are expected across the sector.

Time for Change

Historically, CIFs can offer a useful way for charities to invest, but our research has highlighted some weaknesses that need to be addressed if the market is to retain its investment appeal. There is a need for the CIF market to become more transparent in terms of regulation, accountability, benchmarking and application of ethical criteria. Charities also need to be made aware that the Charity Commission does not endorse CIFs and does not provide investment advice.

Without these improvements, the risk to the CIF sector is that charities and their advisers will continue to switch to other types of investment vehicles on offer.

Blockchain offers more transparency, and peer-to-peer transactions have already made their proofs.

Our view

• In an early stage, the Decred shares will be kept on a wallet for a period of 24 months to benefit the project.

• A platform will be built to give an access to future peer-to-peer donors in the "24 months" period of time.

Blockchain definitely gives a better, newest, and more transparent way to charity project environments.

Blockchain is more disruptive than the Internet itself.

Decred is written from scratch, and has yet to receive mass adoption. It offers rewards from its voting system.

Barely understood at the moment by the masses, blockchain will be soon part of our daily lives.

For further information, please contact:

Alex Solo, Tsoloalex@gmail.com

Digital asset used for this project:

https://decred.org

P.S: All the Steemit rewards will be transferred to the project.
