Hello,

today we will have the next HF on the Steem blockchain. HF21 is only a few hours away. I hope we get a smooth run into the new one, not like last time, when the blockchain was mostly unusable for almost a week.

Well, on HF20, the resource credits have been introduced, which was a total different story. The only thing where I see problems is the separate mana downvoting pool. Not with it, as it might be a healthy addition, but on the implementation.

As said, I don't agree fully on HF21 as it does not solve anything, just moves the focus. If you want to solve curation just add a slider, don't impose a quota on curation. 50% is for me a very socialistic way on taxing. The whole curation debate is just to move the attention on the existing funds, but this will not attract investors and new user. Me, as an investor will not want to hunt the post with the maximum curation, which will happen.

Focus should be on attracting investors and new users, without neglecting the existing ones. Also a thing would be to encourage users to hold on Steem. At the moment almost 99% drain the blockchain.

A convex reward line will have the effect of vote optimizing. People will have multi-accounts and they will calculate the sweet-spot to gain maximum with minimum SP.

Like said, my suggestions are to have a curation slider where anyone can choose how much curation wants to give and more focus on increasing value of Steem, not the way it is distributed.
