About Indigencoin INDIGEN (IDG) is a privacy-centric cryptocurrency based on CryptoNote technology. Indigen employs Proof-of-Work (PoW) protocol and uses the latest stable version of Bytecoin as its core. With maximum coin supply of 17 million, and with just 1% pre-mined, Indigen is one of the very few coins with minimal starting supply to keep a steady growth for its demand. Never has there been a cryptocurrency built for a single purpose: to help the poor indigenous people all over the world, especially in Southeast Asia, Africa and South America. As a donation currency, portion of the mining rewards will be donated to various indigenous groups. The Core Management Indigen is very new to world of cryptocurrency but its dominates the Philippine ICO. Merchants are also rising and want to partners with IDG. Indigen Localized Exchange The primary challenge that every cryptocurrency user faces is the ability to exchange digital money to cash. In the Philippines alone, Bitcoin is the only cryptocurrency that can be exchanged to local currency. Locals not only have few choices to do it, the fees are excessive too. Their goal for this year is to come up with a facility - starting with the Philippine market (especially for the Overseas Filipino Workers as a remittance currency) - which will enable them to exchange IDG to PHP without the need to convert IDG to BTC first, then to PHP. Since acquiring BTC in other countries is not that easy, and trading on exchanges is too cumbersome.
