This afternoon the weather was sunny so I went for a walk with my daughter and her friend to our local country park. A couple of months ago there was a chemical leak into the ponds and locals were worried about the effects to the wildlife and fish in the lake.
Thankfully the Environment Agencies seem to have been able to avoid a disaster to the local wildlife and contained the leak so today there was plenty of  birds to see on the ponds.

To have such a large area of woodlands and lakes within walking distance is amazing and we are lucky to have the park on our doorstep.
