It seems like this topic been discussed hundreds of times, but I would love to better understand the lack of GRC <--> $$$ exchanges.

Can someone try to explain it in some simple terms? Something that 'not so educated' user (a newbie like me) can easily understand.

Here are some reasons I've heard before on this topic:
- it's not popular (kind of makes sense)
- there is no whitepaper or it's being worked on (why is that important? who is working on that?)

What would it take to get listed on exchanges as USD <--> GRC?
What about other currencies? CAD, AUD, GBP, etc.
What effect will it potentially have on Gridcoin? Adoption? Price?
