Defense agency of the United States use of drones cite worries among the population, Imagine a swarm of drones attacking a building, immune to missiles, conventional weapons ... and now they are looking for help to find a solution.

Until Sept. 26, any company may submit a proposal to DARPA to analyze it. The proposal must specify the technique that could be used to remove hundreds (or thousands) of drones at the same time, allowing the type of attack they imagine can unravel in a few seconds.

The system also ideally addressed rockets, artillery, mortars and other conventional threats, although the goal, for now, are the drones. From DARPA they hope the initiative will find scalable and affordable solutions within the next four years.

They comment on ZDNet that DARPA began this year its Gremlins program, in which several aerospace companies will be producing technology to launch a swarm of cheap drones from an aircraft for short missions before returning to a transport aircraft. We imagine that as created the etchant have realized they need defense, so it's time to get hands on the dough before millions of drones conquer the world.
