This year I started to increase my activity on Hive and started doing curation as well. I shared a [post](https://leofinance.io/@alokkumar121/beginning-with-curation-in-2021-is-it-worth-doing) two weeks back in which I shared my plan and strategy about my new beginning of curation. This two-week period was for the experiment and so far its going well so I am taking it further and will share another update next week.

Before starting the curation I checked my APR and it was very bad % is so because 5.7% is too and even with some amount of efforts one can easily make it double digits. So this is the snapshot taken from https://hivestats.io/ 14 days back.

I took some delegation through @dlease and removed my delegation as well so that I can have a good amount of Hive power. Earlier I had 4k HP and now I have almost 8k HP. Here is the snapshot of my current curation reward and APR. It took me 2 weeks time to increase the APR from 5.7% to 15% and its so good.

I delegate most of my HP through dlease and earn about 4-5 Hive every day for 10k HP but with curation, I think that I will be able to earn even more. During this week, I have experienced a few of the things which I want to share-

* Since I do manual curation so I get the opportunity to go through the various post as per my interest and some of them are awesome. Such posts help me to learn about various stuff. 
* I am able to engage more and I always believe that this should increase even more. We need content creators but we also need the ones who consume the content.
* I spend about one hour every day checking posts and curate. I also try not to drain my VP less than 80% because then it takes a long time to recover. 
* Voting on the post is also important so I also explore new content and if the post is good then I curate it. 
* My vote value is not big and I can't give a few $$ but I can certainly give support and boost of motivation to authors and I think that this is not less than monetary value.

I will continue to curate the same way and I am trying my best to curate the quality content. I am not sure but hopefully, I will be able to increase the APR to 20%. If this happened then I will undelegate some of my HP from dlease and will try to have increase Hive power. 

I never did curation before but its a nice thing to do. I sometimes think that why I did not do it before but its fine since I am on it now. Better late than never so I am happy with my journey on curation so far. I create content the same way I used to do and for curation, I have managed to give it additional time.

*I have created curation accounts for CTP (@alokkumar121.ctp) and SPORTS (@alokkumar.sports) already and doing curation already. Other tokens like LEO and STEM and I am using with my primary account (alokkumar121) and as of now don't have a plan to create a separate curation account. Later, if I feel the need for a separate curation account then will create but as of now, this arrangement is going well.*
