What makes people admire him so much is that he has come from a very small and humble family in the village. But through education that he gain with a lot of tears and sweat he managed to build his first empire. 

But at his last peak, he was a little bit too aggressive with his investment and also he seemed to have been around some bad people who he trusted back then, causing a huge problem with his business, and he tasted his first and last bankruptcy. 

Just like what he mentioned in his speech that he never give up, those failure is his true mentor in life. To someone who has been at the peak, and fallen to the bottom, rising up might be quite hard, as the mental damage could be unbearable.

But Bakrie was one of a kind, who always work hard, and dedicated himself to doing his best in every work that he is doing. And now he is again on top, and try to spread as much positivity as he can on his speech.
