Malaysia will be laying off the cryptocurrency ban and the government has decided to not bad or recognize cryptocurrency.  So essentially, Malaysians are still allowed to trade crypto.  The government just refuses to recognize it as fiat currency, which is a lot of the other governments approach.  What makes Malaysia particularly interesting is the response from the Central bank of Malaysia, specifically Muhammad Ibrahim, the governor.

When I posted a different video on the topic, it got a lot of comments on it and one of them suggested that this could be a trap to find out who has crypto and who's involved in the space and then to retroactively punish them.  In my opinion, we don't really know and we can't really say.  This is good news that there will be no Malaysian ban because it seems our Asian and Pacific Islander brothers and sisters are lovin' the crypto juice and the government might be getting the crypto fever too!
