This is a weekly, semi-automated post where I will show some statistics and graphs of the development category. It will also serve as a showcase for the staff picks and task requests that were made in the current week. If you have any suggestions or things you'd like to see in this post, then please let me know!

## Staff pick(s)
#### [Making transfers and substitutions using fpl!](https://steemit.com/fpl/@amosbastian/making-transfers-and-substitutions-using-fpl) by @amosbastian

>Apparently this week the top scoring post is one of my own ones, with a score of 100, and picked retroactively as a staff pick by @knowledges. I'm pretty proud of this update, as it was something I didn't think was possible, and brings a great deal of functionality and usefulness for **fpl**. Hopefully I will be adding some more updates like this in the future!

#### [steemrewarding.com - upvoting of paid-out posts possible and rules table improved](https://steemit.com/utopian-io/@holger80/steemrewarding-com-upvoting-of-paid-out-posts-possible-and-rules-table-improved) by @holger80

>Steemrewarding is a feature-rich automatic voting tool. It can be used to create voting rules at https://steemrewarding.com, when your posting authority has been given to the @rewarding account. With this update Holger has added the possibility to upvote already paid-out posts as well. The way it works is that, when a paid-out post is pasted on Steemrewarding, a comment is added to the post with 100% benficiaries set to the author and automatically upvoted! Pretty great, right?

## Category summary
* There were **27** contributions of which **26** have a chance of being rewarded, or already were rewarded.
* The average score was **72.6** with an average reward of **50.7 STU** from Utopian.
* The total reward from Utopian for development contributions this week (so far) is **1065.7 STU**.
* There were a total of **20** unique contributors in the category. Of those 1 were new contributors in the development category (@swapsteem).

#### Score distribution in the development category

<center>![score_distribution.png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmVDPeP5URETP4wGFC2ENmRQm4KLja32E5GCgozFkKFNa3/score_distribution.png)</center>

#### Number of contributions per weekday

<center>![weekly_number_contributions.png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmWoc7NtbNyfg6YDaDVNxRS3uoTgiw75PAMJPEyoPxFuVe/weekly_number_contributions.png)</center>

As you can see, Sunday was the day with the most activity in the development category (pretty surprised, since it's in the weekend). Monday and Tuesday had the least activity in the entire week. I guess everyone was recovering after the hectic Sunday!

#### Average score, reward (STU) and time before review (hours) per week

<center>![weekly_overview.png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmea4JK5skSMREc5ESS1rT3NrSz18vtwHeTwczVJdEpUkd/weekly_overview.png)<br>Time before review is the number of hours between the creation of the post and the time it is reviewed by a moderator.</center>

The average score of contributions has gone up from **68.7** to **72.6** this week, which is a good indication that the quality of contributions has also gone up! The average reward, just like the average score, has also gone up (from **45.5 STU** to **50.7 STU**), which is of course great for the people submitting their posts. Lastly, the number of hours it takes for us to get to a contribution and review it (on average) has gone up *slightly* from **17.7** hours to **18.0** hours.

#### Number of contributions reviewed per week

<center>![weekly_reviewed.png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmYLbNoHUnXxff7EBe4NFfAfz6QKpqei43Gi5C1zUyG36e/weekly_reviewed.png)</center>

As you can see, the weekly number of reviews is down from **29** to **27**. However, the number of contributions over the last two weeks (**56**) is up *a lot* from the number of contributions in the two weeks prior to that (**37**). This is really great to see as well, because there was quite a drowntend recently, and I would really like the development category to thrive. Nearly 20 contributions more in the last 2 weeks is pretty amazing!

## Contributors

#### Number of unique contributors per week

<center>![unique_contributors.png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmbjFC47rvWXerj2GHrfAqGLSn45zhqRARWFc29ut8tgqe/unique_contributors.png)</center>

With the number of reviews going down this week it's unfortunately not that surprising to see the number of unique contributors go down *slightly* from **25** to **20** either. As you can see below, there were a couple of authors submitting quite a lot of posts this week, so that explains it really.

#### Most active contributor(s)

##### @pcsg-dev
* [QUIQQER Core and QUIQQER Log Update - Chaos issues](https://steemit.com/utopian-io/@pcsg-dev/quiqqer-core-and-quiqqer-log-update-chaos-issues)
* [QUIQQER Dashboard 1.0](https://steemit.com/utopian-io/@pcsg-dev/quiqqer-dashboard-1-0)
* [QUIQQER - Matomo - With new E-Commerce Tracking](https://steemit.com/utopian-io/@pcsg-dev/quiqqer-matomo-with-new-e-commerce-tracking)

##### @holger80
* [steemrewarding.com - upvoting of paid-out posts possible and rules table improved](https://steemit.com/utopian-io/@holger80/steemrewarding-com-upvoting-of-paid-out-posts-possible-and-rules-table-improved)
* [Update for steemengine - token class and command line tool added](https://steemit.com/utopian-io/@holger80/update-for-steemengine-token-class-and-command-line-tool-added)
* [steem-scot - a distributor for Smart Contract Organizational Token](https://steemit.com/utopian-io/@holger80/steem-scot-a-distributor-for-smart-contract-organizational-token)

Both of these authors are great examples for others. I'd definitely recommend checking out both of their posts, and maybe try to follow their example!

## Moderators
* @amosbastian reviewed **2** contributions with an average score of **67.5**.
* @emrebeyler reviewed **1** contribution with an average score of **81.5**.
* @helo reviewed **10** contributions with an average score of **85.1**.
* @justyy reviewed **14** contributions with an average score of **63.4**.

We have a new #1 most active moderator: Justyy! I have been slacking a bit this week, after being the most active moderator last week, but even so, I'm very surprised to see that Helo isn't #1 again. Maybe next week Codingdefined or Emre will be the most active moderator and we are simply taking turns ;)

#### Number of reviews per weekday

<center>![weekly_number_reviews.png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmbkSA8jjBYGeu5GvBAxh6gELzL2zLrdoQsTMrV8hrGjhB/weekly_number_reviews.png)</center>
As you can see, Thursday was the day where we reviewed the most contributions in the development category. Tuesday was the day where we reviewed the least. I'm sorry if you submitted your contribution on that day and had to wait a while for your review, but at least now you know when we are the most active.
#### Number of contributions reviewed per moderator

## Task request(s)

#### [Resurrecting the PyRules project - live particle physics research on Steem](https://steemit.com/steemstem/@lemouth/resurrecting-the-pyr-1552334869) by @lemouth

>Half a year ago, @lemouth introduced the PyRules project, with the aim of developing, through Steem, a full program to be used for state-of-the-art particle physics research. With this post he wants to try and resurrect it in a smooth way, by proposing a few task developments (i.e. a few baby-steps towards the final goal). These steps do not require any knowledge in particle physics, and only necessitate to check a few (already coded) files to get updated on what has been done a few months ago. I would definitely recommend checking it out if you have time, as it is an extremely interesting project with a lot of potential!
 * **Python**

#### [Task Request: Help Us Add Basic Search Mechanism To The Existing steemgigs.org Search Engine, That Searches User-Profiles Based On Keywords - (Additonal 100 Steem Bounty)](https://steemit.com/steemgigs/@surpassinggoogle/task-request-help-us-add-basic-search-mechanism-to-the-existing-steemgigs-org-search-engine-that-searches-user-profiles-based-on) by @surpassinggoogle

>@surpassinggoogle would like someone to add a basic search for user profiles to the already existing search functionality of SteemGigs. As far as I can tell it has already been claimed by @tobias-g, but it might still be worth contacting either of the two to see if you could possibly help out with this task, or any future tasks!
 * **Vue.js**
