Six ways to prevent short term memory loss

Long-term memory contains numerous information for a long time. So this step is very low in memory loss.

Short term memory usually lasts 15-30 seconds as memory. Then the information goes to working memory . Effective memory usually lasts for 80 minutes.

If we can not give proper reason to our brain to gather information in long term memory, then it will be removed from effective memory. In short term memory, we need to remember what information we need to remember. Only the information that we repeat can go to functional memory.

Suppose, I'll remember a phone number. When I see the number, it is stored as a passing memory. Until I put the number somewhere or repeat it, it will remain in short-term memory. It lasted for a very short period. Then one time it disappears from memory, which we call short-term memory loss.

According to researchers, it is possible to increase the memory capacity of short-term memory. There are some rules to follow. Then let's know the rules:

Some foods help to increase the efficiency of short-term memory. There are some such foods:

* Chocolate: A recent study by Harvard Medical has proved that two cups of hot chocolate help in the rapid circulation of the brain and increases memory efficiency by up to 30 percent.

* Caffeine: Every day, a cup of coffee reduces the amount of memory short term memory loss.

* Sufficient amount of water: One of the reasons for short-term memory loss is dehydration. So drink 7-8 glasses of water a day.

In addition, the amount of sugar in the diet should be reduced because sugar increases the amount of glucose in the brain which affects the short-term memory.

# 2. Want right sleep:

Sleep is very important for our brain. If there is not enough sleep, the brain's capacity will be reduced. During sleep, the oxygen can not reach the brain, which helps keep the information in the short-term memory more sustainable.

# 3. Regular exercise:

Regular exercise and exercise need to be done to keep the brain healthy and effective.
