Every time I look back, I remember that even though I haven't had many consoles, video games have always been there for me in one way or another.

I'm not a huge fan, nor do I always follow the releases. I just like them because they're fun and remind me of people I love.

So, I'm going to tell you my top DS games. Nothing Mario-related, or maybe not the ones everyone knows. I'm talking about games that are truly hidden from view. I saw them on the R4 card, and if it weren't for that, I probably wouldn't have recognized them.

What is an R4 card? It's a wildcard cartridge that you could buy from unofficial sites and with which you could play a ton of downloaded games with just the cartridge and an SD card.

Now, let's get to the post.

## Lego Battles

The DS version of Age of Empires, complete with its story mode, a battalion of different classes that we can put on the field, and it comes from the imaginative world of Lego.

I remember there were different eras you could play in. You could be a king or an alien. There was a very good variety for a game that, on paper, had no reason to compete.

But yes, it was very good. The only thing I didn't like was that it was almost impossible to play with a friend. Even if we had both, the game seems to have not done that part well. But its story mode is gold

# Scriblenauts!!!!

My favorite for a long time. I strangely liked getting stuck in levels and just spamming a bunch of objects to see where the limit was.

You could solve levels just by summoning an apple from your notebook, or when nothing worked, you had the ever-trusty pistol. If you could pull that out too, you could shoot whoever came up with it. It often even solved the level.

But I also remember the absurd variety of levels there were. Some where you had to summon objects to solve them, and others where you had to use the objects to collect the star placed somewhere in the level.

It's hands down one of the best video games that nowadays doesn't seem to have many fans waiting for a sequel. They've released other games, but I haven't been able to. Play

# Elite Beat Agents

While others were playing Guitar Hero or Dance Dance Revolution, I was enjoying this rhythm game where you had to press the stylus at the right moment.

Just imagine you're watching an animated music video with slightly strange, exaggerated characters, and you're part of the story. Every time the music starts, circles appear on the screen that you have to tap to the beat with a stylus (as if you were hitting a drum or tapping your finger to the beat of the song).

That's the most direct way I can describe it. Of course, I put it among my favorites because the soundtrack is quite good, to the point where it surprises me that more people don't know it.

It has a lot of Japanese charm. I found out through research that this game is an adaptation of a fairly famous one in Japan.

# The World Ends With You

It's a comic book turned into a video game. It was with this that I discovered what an RPG was long before playing Pokémon. Perhaps I liked it because of the characters' clothing style. It was a time when emo and bands like Green Day were very fashionable, and seeing that street style made it so special. My

It's also a game that I think would be impossible to play again without a DS and the file.

It's impossible on the emulator because we're constantly controlling two screens in combat: the bottom with the stylus and the top with the buttons. It seemed confusing until I realized that detail. Now it even seems special.

It's also on this list because of its impeccable soundtrack, which I still listen to to this day.
