Billionaire, technological entrepreneur and one of the "shark investors" of Shark Tank Show, Mark Cuban has recently sat down with Kitco News, a store specializing in precious metals news, to talk about his views on investment in various assets, including Bitcoin and Gold

When asked what is the safest investment at the moment, Cuban did not say Shares, Gold or Bitcoin (BTC). Instead, he argued that paying his credit cards, student loans or "whatever debt he has" is "probably the best investment" he can make.

"The reason for that is any interest you have, it can be a student loan with an interest rate of 7%, if you pay that loan, you earn 7%. And that's their immediate return, which is much safer than trying to choose an action, or trying to choose real estate or whatever. "

Speaking of gold and Bitcoin, Cuban said he hates both, adding that he believes that cryptocurrencies and precious metals are basically the same, calling them "collectibles." The billionaire investor explained that the value of gold and Bitcoin is based on supply and demand. However, he also stressed that Bitcoin is in a more favorable position due to its shortage.

"The good news about Bitcoin is that there is a limited supply that will be created sometime, and the bad news about gold is that it will continue to extract more."

This is the second time that Cuban apparently revokes his opinion about Bitcoin. In June of 2017, he criticized the world's leading virtual currency by calling it "a bubble", but in October he began to claim that cryptocurrencies and Blockchain are the future.

Last October, Cuban also included a tip to invest up to 10% of his life savings in Bitcoin or Ethereum in his video "Getting Rich Guide", calling them "high risk" assets.In his last interview with Kitco, Cuban recommends putting the money in the bank for those who want to play it safe, "just to get a good night's sleep."

In addition to investing in a digital currency hedge fund and an ICO, and launching the Mercury Cryptocurrency Protocol based at Ethereum in 2017, Cuban also announced in January this year that the Dallas Mavericks NBA team, of which he owns, will start accepting Bitcoin as payment for next season.
