0.000 HBD5/07 ANDY HOFFMAN (CryptoGoldCentral.com): Compared to MWC, Grin and Beam will DRAMATICALLY Underperform!
In January, MWC Lead Dev Chris Gilliard came to with an idea to fork Grin – the first MimbleWimble coin – with a financially superior version. I thought it was a good idea, and immediately joined the effort. I have been offered MANY opportunities to build altcoins - but thus far, ONLY BRhodium and MWC have intrigued me enough to devote my time, effort, and capital to. As powerful as the first mover advantage is, Grin’s refusal to limit supply is a non-starter for most investors – particularly in a nascent technology, in the midst of a crypto bear market (as was the case in January). Chris asked the Grin developers – who are not altruistic philanthropists, but massively VC-funded capitalists – if they’d consider limiting supply limit, but they refused. So, instead of investing in Grin, he decided to start his own MimbleWimble coin. Regarding Beam, if you look at their website, you’d swear it was not a cryptocurrency, but a corporation – which is why I’ve deemed it the “Ripple of MimbleWimble.” Beam has a supply cap – but at 263 million, it, too is a non-starter for most investors. In fact, due to overhyping at the launch, investors lost a lot of money in Grin and Beam – and thus, have a very sour taste in their mouth. The crypto bear market has turned into a bull, so NOW would have been a better time to launch the coins – though of course, hindsight is 20/20. As for MWC, Chris believed that by limiting the supply to 20 million; adding an in-kind dividend – like BRhodium’s Strong Hands program; and distributing it via FREE airdrop to Bitcoin holders, he could build a devoted community of “MWC HODLers” who would start out deep in the black, and add to holdings by being passive investors. Thirty percent of the 20 million are being distributed via the airdrop, and another 10% reserved for the “MWC HODL” program. Ten percent is being used for development, and the remaining 50% will be POW mined over the next century – that anyone with Grin mining equipment can simply point at MWC. As it turns out, MimbleWimble technology is so nascent, that Grin and Beam’s codes still need a lot of work. Thus, MWC has the opportunity to not only compete financially, but technologically – and thus far, this highly unexpected component of its development (by me, initially) has been incredible. Per the dozens of articles posted on the MWC website already (link below), Chris and the MWC dev team have been busy adding significant upgrades to the MimbleWimble codes. By the time MWC’s MainNet goes live – after the airdrop registration period ends July 19th – I expect it to be FAR more efficient and user-friendly than when Grin and Beam launched four months ago. MimbleWimble is unquestionably the most revolutionary technology ever introduced to cryptocurrency – so much so, Bitcoin will be FORCED to incorporate it in the coming years. In my view, the combination of MWC’s staggering financial competitive advantage and growing technological leadership will make it the “go to” MimbleWimble coin – which, for Bitcoin holders, can be received FREE, simply by going to the MWC website and registering! The MWC airdrop registration for Bitcoin holders will continue until the July 19th snapshot.
