0.000 HBDOBSIDIAN SQUAD, Reverse Speed Mage Secrets Battle Challenge!
Hello guys! Yeeeeey I'm back again with my Splinterlands post. It hasn't been long since my previous post, and this is my second post to participate in the Reverse Speed Mage Secrets Battle Challenge. If my previous post had Fire nuances with Grum Flameblade and Runi and Forgotten One as the decisive victory, this time I will share a strategy battle with Obsidian Squad. Well, I'm neither a proplayer nor a tournament hero. I just enjoys sharing strategy and battles that I find interesting in my own view. If I previously posted a battle strategy on the Gold League with a scholarship account from Bulldog1205, this time I used another Scholarship account from the Balthazar Guild with IGN ***BLTZR-WIZARD-700*** which play in Diamond leagues with max level cards only from Chaos Legion editions and some low level Rewards cards, and maybe the battle strategies I'd share weren't suitable to apply in other leagues because the differences in ability that open up are different from each league. Ok guys, without further ado, let's get straight to the heart of this post! #
**BATTLE PREPARATION**
##
**Challenge Rules**

https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/anif1908/AJkRAwZydYPwyWpm8Hx37PWwPTSHThNMJR7eNWhTf6FRfNxz5ipZ8o8qNLuWzKw.png
### **RULESET: REVERSE SPEED** **Description:** Units with lower speeds will attack before units with higher speeds. Attack Accuracy based on speed will also be reversed. Units with the Bloodlust ability will increase speed after killing a unit. Avoid using Slow as this will help your opponent. ##
**Battle Rulesets**
The rulesets in this battle are: - **Heavy Hitters** (*All Monsters have the Knock Out ability*) - **Reverse Speed** (*Monsters with the lowest speed attack first and have the highest chance of evading attacks*) - **Equalizer** (*The initial Health of all Monsters is equa to that of the Monster on either team with highest base Health.*) - **Mana Capacity 20** - Active Element **Fire, Water, Earth, and Dragon**. ##
**Line Up and Strategy**
  |Monster |Position | Abilities| Strategy| |---|---|---|---| |**Obsidian** |Summoner |+1 Magic |Obsidian will increase the attack damage of several Magic monsters that will fill the line-up formation, and this will certainly be the best summoner. Moreover, some anti-magic summoners are not active in this battle. | |**Mycelic Morphoid** |First |Thorn |Because this is a middle mana battle, so taking advantage of empty slots with low mana monsters like Mycelic Morphoid is a strategy that can be punched. Mycelic Morphoid has Thorn ability, so it's pretty good as a low mana tank.| |**Fungus Fiend** |Second |Slow |Well, to be honest this is a stupid strategy by using Slow monsters on Reverse Speed rulesets, but because I need monsters that can drain empty slots as tanks, I was forced to use this monster in second place. | |**Spirit Hoarder** |Third |Triage, Dispel, Blind |Hoarde's Spirit Hoarder with speed 1 and 2 magic damage which will become 3 after getting a buff from the summoner will be one of the attackers in this battle. In addition, this monster also has the ability and will be a support in battle, both Triage which will restore the HP of other monsters that are not in the first position, or Dispel which will eliminate all positive influences from the target affected by this monster's attack. | |**Queen Mycelia** |Fourth |Protect, Amplify, Triage, Rust |Queen Mycelia is the most important support because of her abilities. Protect ability will increase the Armor of all friendly monsters, Amplify will increase damage from mustard hit by Thorn, Triage will restore the HP of other monsters that are not in first place, and Rust will remove 2 Armor from all enemy monsters. Furthermore, as an attacker, this monster has magic damage and also speed 1, this will be good also as an attacker. | |**Goblin Psychic** |Fifth |Thank Heal, Affliction, Silence, Dispel |I think Goblin Psychic is the most important monster in this battle, because apart from being an attacker, this monster is also an important support because of its abilities. This monster has a speed of 1 with an initial damage of 2 magic attacks, and will increase due to the Summoner buff, and also has supporting abilities such as Thank Heal which will restore the monster's HP in the first position, Affliction which if hit the target will make the target no longer healable, Silence which will reduce magic damage from all enemy monsters, and dispel. | |**Acid Shooter** |Last |Scattershpot, Cripple, Poison |Although this monster doesn't match the Equalizer strategy that I usually use, which is to focus on one point, the Poison that this monster has is quite useful. | #
**BATTLEFIELD ARENA**
[](https://splinterlands.com?p=battle&id=sl_2f77fc1916703d3b170e6fc5542abf20&ref=anif1908)
(***Click the image above to direct to the battle link***)
I've also included a youtube video of this battle that you can play right away. https://youtu.be/CpejyN0SK2s This battle is no less interesting than the battle that I previously shared, because this is a middle mana battle where the right strategy is needed to win the match. This battle also runs long enough to determine the winner, this is because of the Equalizer rulesets where all monsters have the same HP. #
**STRATEGY DISCUSSION**
The strategy I applied worked well in this battle. This is because anti-magic Summoners like Thaddius Brood cannot be used, so there is no magic reduction and attack damage can be maximized. In addition, Element Life where some monsters usually counter Magic is also inactive, so magic attacks will be very OP in this battle. Ok guys, I think my post is enough here, thank you for visiting my blog, don't forget to upvote and leave a comment.
