If you have just got approved on Steemit and you are making your first steps on the platform, you have probably already read encouraging posts written for newbies by more experienced Steemians. And this is absolutely the right thing to do because you can find there a lot of useful tips about how to progress, to make good content and to build up your reputation. Here is by the way [a great post by @anritco](https://steemit.com/life/@anritco/why-is-it-so-hard-to-write-a-post-oneself-and-the-barriers#@anritco/re-anikanam-re-anritco-why-is-it-so-hard-to-write-a-post-oneself-and-the-barriers-20180105t130643409z) which inspired me to restart my Steemit activity after I’ve left the platform about 6 months ago. Whoever you are, a new Steemian who doesn't know where to start or someone like me who comes back after a long break, read it, it will boost you up for sure.
https://media.giphy.com/media/XIqCQx02E1U9W/giphy.gif
A bad example not to follow I am sharing with you my experience, it might be useful as a bad example not to follow. In my country we say: intelligent people learn by other people’s mistake, silly people learn by their own’s. Why did I stop posting on Steemit? I signed up in June 2017 and I immediately fell in love with the concept of the platform. Everything was going great, some of my posts got good rewards, every day I learnt something new and met new people. But after one month of activity I stopped posting. Without any particular reason. It was not like I woke up one day and I made a decision to never come back on the platform again. I just had one busy day, then another one, then a week passed by... I should say that after a quite lazy summer when I could spend a day working on one post, I had a very busy and challenging autumn. I moved to another country and I had to deal with a lot things. To make a long story short, last week I suddenly realized how much I missed Steemit and was surprised myself that I hadn’t written a word on the platform for the last 6 months. Did I think before now about restarting? Of course! But writing is like sport: when you practice it every day it is easy and fun, but when you start missing workouts, it’s getting difficult to find time and motivation. And more you miss, more it is difficult. You always find another thing to do and a reason why you can do it tomorrow.
https://media.giphy.com/media/azUBCBFSCyNgc/giphy.gif
Why you should keep going even if you are in short of the inspiration? Because it is better to do a little than doing nothing. One comment, one reply or 1 upvote per day will be better than 0 activity for months, waiting for the perfect time to restart or the perfect subject to write about. If you keep going, even with baby steps, it will be much easier to write your next post when comes the right time and the right mood. The thing is to always find time for activities which make us happy. If you love coffee, you will not miss a day without your cappuccino, right? https://s20.postimg.org/y9v1e0s99/coffee_writing.jpg [Source 1](https://giphy.com/gifs/XIqCQx02E1U9W),[2](https://giphy.com/gifs/lazy-azUBCBFSCyNgc),[3](https://ampersandblog.net/tag/writing/)
You came on Steemit because writing, sharing and discovering make you happy. So if you have started, don’t stop, even if the inspiration is not always on its top. Another post about the inspiration (why you don't have to wait for it) is coming soon, so don't go away. 😉

THANK YOU FOR READING THIS POST 💙 FOLLOW ME
