Buenas noches, estoy agradecida por la invitación que me hizo la comunidad #writingclub al concurso: [***“Writing between love and letters”***](https://ecency.com/hive-132410/@hive-132410/initiative-writing-between-love-and), con motivo de celebrar el mes del amor y la amistad. Les comparto mi participación y me encantaría leer a mis amigas @brujita18 y @mercmarg.

París es la ciudad de mis sueños, desde que estaba jovencita. Me gusta escribir poesía, y me inspiró en este poema su cultura, sus paisajes, y las historias de amor que han nacido en sus rincones. Mi abuelo era francés, y aunque no sé cómo se conocieron él y mi abuela, recuerdo las historias que nos relataban mi madre y mi tía acerca de la relación tan bonita que ellos tenían, así que imaginé una historia de amor entre ellos que nació en París, y la plasmé en mis versos.

>>Paris is the city of my dreams, since I was young. I love writing poetry, and I was inspired in this poem by its culture, its landscapes, and the love stories that have been born in its corners. My grandfather was French, and although I don't know how he and my grandmother met, I remember the stories my mother and my aunt told us about the beautiful relationship they had, so I imagined a love story between them that was born in Paris, and I captured it in my verses.

## <center>**SUEÑO DE AMOR**</center>

Solía contarnos mi madre las aventuras osadas
que tuvo mi hermosa abuela antes de estar bien casada.
Hizo un viaje hasta París en la época más bella
donde en las noches fastuosas desfilaban las doncellas. 

#

Aquellos radiantes días de teatros y museos,
espectáculos grandiosos, la música en su apogeo,
ofrecían sitios bohemios que invitaban al amor
y allí conoció a mi abuelo, cual francés, ¡Todo un señor!

#

La “belle époque” tenía la magia y la dulce candidez
que hechizaba a las parejas y se amaban a la vez,
como si la magia tocara sus latientes corazones
que tan sólo con mirarse ya no existían más razones.

#

Cuando mamá terminaba de narrar aquella historia
yo quedaba con mis sueños tan altos como la gloria,
deseaba haber vivido aquella época parisina
y extasiarme con la moda que exhibían en las vitrinas. 

#

Un corsé muy ajustado que rodeaba mi cintura
dentro de un lindo vestido de aquellos de alta costura,
era lo que imaginaba en mis pensamientos vagos
junto a un guapo caballero rodeándome con sus manos. 

#

El romance de mis abuelos genuino y apasionado 
es como un sueño de amor para dos enamorados,
porque ya nadie se ama como lo hacía aquella gente
era una época bella, y todo era diferente.

## <center>**DREAM OF LOVE**</center>

My mother used to tell us about the daring adventures
my beautiful grandmother had before she was well married.
She took a trip to Paris in the most beautiful time of the year
where on lavish nights the maidens paraded. 

#

Those radiant days of theaters and museums,
grandiose spectacles, music at its peak,
offered bohemian places inviting to love.
and there she met my grandfather, such a Frenchman, such a gentleman!

#

The "belle époque" had the magic and the sweet candor
that enchanted couples and they loved each other at the same time,
as if magic was touching their beating hearts
that just by looking at each other there were no more reasons.

#

When mother finished telling that story
I was left with my dreams as high as glory,
I wished I had lived that Parisian era
and to be enraptured by the fashions displayed in the windows. 

#

A very tight corset that encircled my waist
inside one of those beautiful couture dresses,
was what I pictured in my vague thoughts
a handsome gentleman wrapping his hands around me. 

#

The romance of my grandparents genuine and passionate 
is like a dream of love for two lovers,
because no one loves each other like those people did anymore.
it was a beautiful time, and everything was different.
