Two youths have been gunned down in police raid with the police and their trial began in Brussels on the basis of that incident. Both of them were convicted on the charge of attempting to kill the terrorists involved in the trial and both of them were sentenced to 20 years imprisonment. Judge Mary Frant Kitten said Monday that Abdelslam and Aari were "convicted of attempt to murder and motivated by militancy" in March 2009 in a gunfight with the police. However, during the verdict, Abdesalam or Aari was not present in the court. Abdesalam is currently in a prison in France and is facing trial for involvement in the Paris attacks. Ari has been kept in a prison in Belgium. On November 13, 2015, 130 people were killed and hundreds injured in a terrorist attack in a consort hall in Paris, stadiums, restaurants, cafes and bars, gunmen and suicide bombers. Among the attackers, Abdesalam's brother Brahim was killed in a suicide attack outside a café. After the attack Abdesalam fled. A warrant issued against him was issued across Europe. Later, in March 2016, police arrested him while he was hiding with a partner in a flat in Mullenbec, Brussels.
